Original: Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii provided an update on the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI today. During the “Let’s all get excited! Live Recording from Back Stage at the Dragon Quest XI Concert” program, Horii mentioned that development on Nintendo’s console is going well, and indicated that he expects information to be released sometime soon. We unfortunately don’t have access to the program, but there may have been a hint that we’ll hear about it during the Tokyo Game Show in September.

Despite being announced a couple of years ago, Square Enix has still not shown Dragon Quest XI on Switch. However, we finally received confirmation earlier this year that it’s based on the PlayStation 4 version, as opposed to the 3DS release or something else entirely.

Atypical Games will bring Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders to Switch later this month, according to an eShop listing.

Flood of Light

Flood of Light was announced earlier this summer. Now through a Japanese eShop listing, the game has been dated for August 23.

Ubisoft is bringing two past titles to Switch. Child of Light, which previously hit Wii U, along with Valiant Hearts (which was never on a Nintendo platform), will arrive in the next couple of months.

Child of Light is up first on October 11. Valiant Hearts will follow on November 8.

Thanks to the Japanese eShop, we now have a release date for Kero Blaster on Switch. Playism will publish the title on August 23. Pricing is set at 980 yen.

Okami HD

Okami HD makes its way to Switch tomorrow. We have the first hour of footage on Nintendo’s console, which you can watch below.

Azure Reflections will be released in the west on Switch later this month, Unties Games and Souvenir Circ. have announced. The side-scrolling Touhou Project bullet hell launches August 30.

Nintendo has released a batch of Smash Bros Ultimate screenshots and art from today’s reveals. We’ve rounded up the images below.

No real surprise here, but Nintendo has confirmed that all of the new Smash Bros. Ultimate characters will be getting amiibo. That includes Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont, King K. Rool, Chrom and Dark Samus. No word yet on when the figures will be released.
