After it launched on Switch a few hours ago, Nintendo has sent out the first update to those who are following the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild News channel. Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi will be sharing messages to players.
As for the initial items, they aren’t terribly exciting. Nintendo’s first distributions are only for apples and a piece of meat. Here’s hoping future items are a bit more exciting.

The new 2.1.0 update for ARMS went out a short while ago. In terms of actual new content, Nintendo didn’t bring in whole lot. However, the company is gearing up for some new additions rather soon.
The Japanese ARMS Twitter account has teased a new character that will be available with the next update. New ARMS will be included, too.
We just saw a new update today, so it might be a few weeks until the next one goes out.

Shiny Pikachu spotted at Japanese Pokemon GO event
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 4 Comments
A special “Pikachu Outbreak” event is currently being hosted for Pokemon GO in Japan. Through August 15, players will be able to explore two special Kanto and Johto-themed parks. The Red Brick Park has Pokemon originally from the Kanto region appearing more frequently. The same goes for the Johto region at Cup Noodle Museum Park.
Other activities are also underway, such as Pokemon rarely encountered in Japan appearing, including Mr. Mime. The Photo Disc at the PokeStops found at each of these parks may also award Trainers special 2 km Eggs with the potential to hatch a greater variety of Pokemon than usual.
That’s not all though. We’re hearing reports that a Shiny Pikachu has been sighted. That also means Shiny Raichu and (potentially) Pichu are present. For Pichu, it seems that the Pokemon has to be hatched during the duration of the event similar to Ash Hat Pichu. We’ve not actually seen a screenshot of Shiny Pichu, but since its sprite is present, it’s likely available.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild – News channel on Switch now live
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 4 Comments
Yesterday, Nintendo issued a new update for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Part of the patch included the groundwork for some new functionality. Nintendo said it would be opening a News channel on Switch tomorrow that allows players to obtain unknown items when launching the game from messages that are delivered.
That channel is now open for business, but you won’t find anything there just yet. Nintendo will likely begin sending messages sometime this week. We do at least know that director Hidemaro Fujibayashi will be sharing “useful tips”.
With all that said, you can follow the new Breath of the Wild channel. Doing so will ensure that you receive Nintendo’s messages about the game, and you’ll be able to nab those mystery items.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle creative director Davide Soliani shared a little nugget about the game’s performance on Twitter. When Switch is docked, the resolution will be 900. Like almost every other Switch game, it’s 720p in portable mode.
We’ve also pretty much known that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle runs at 30 frames per second. But if you needed further confirmation, Davide has offered just that. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is 30 FPS both docked and when playing on Switch.
