We’ve already posted an unboxing video for one of the Splatoon amiibo dioramas, which was the Squid Sisters stage. The video below takes a closer look at the second one: Kelp Dome.

Nintendo has shared some early information about its sales performance in the United States during the month of June 2016. Next week, the NPD report will be published in full.

In terms of actual numbers, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has surpassed two million units sold. Smash Bros. for 3DS has topped three million units in the states.

Nintendo also said that sales of the 3DS family rose by 39 percent last month. Kirby: Planet Robobot placed fourth on NPD’s retail charts. Rhythm Heaven Megamix, a digital-only title, sat atop the eShop charts for most of the month.

During E3 last month, Guacamelee developer DrinkBox announced that they’ll be bringing its new game Severed to Wii U and 3DS next month. Nintendo World Report has now shared some footage from the console version. Watch 11 minutes of gameplay below, along with a developer interview.

We’ll be seeing Pokemon GO very, very soon. If all goes well, it’ll be out by the end of the month.

Pokemon GO will be compatible with iOS upon release, after you apply an update. With Android though, it’s less clear. Nintendo UK’s product page mentions that as of this month, compatibility with phones using Android “is under development.”

Here’s what the page says in full:

For use with the Pokémon GO app, by Niantic Inc. App update dedicated for Pokémon GO Plus required (planned for 2016). It will also require a compatible smartphone.*

* Compatible Smartphones:

Pokémon GO Plus will be compatible with iPhone 5/5c/5s/SE/6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and operating systems iOS 8 – 9.

As of July 2016, the Pokémon GO Plus compatibility with phones using the Android operating system is under development.

A curious inclusion there! Will Pokemon GO Plus not be ready for Android at launch?

Kotaku fired off a few questions to Nintendo to learn more about the NES Classic Edition site open. The company commented on whether it can connect to the Internet (it can’t), whether it’ll get more games (nope), whether it can play old cartridges (won’t work!). Kotaku also asked about plans for other mini consoles, but Nintendo’s answer won’t surprise you.

In any case, head past the break for all of Nintendo’s comments.

The official website is now open for the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition. Access it here. There’s not too much new aside from the announcement shared earlier this morning, but the page itself is neat.

There’s also this “Classics” logo at the bottom… and you know what that means: the speculation pot is already stirring. Could Nintendo opt to bring out more versions of its retro systems?

Three new games joined the North American Wii U Virtual Console today: Bonk’s Adventure, New Adventure Island, and R-Type. Footage of all three can be found below.

Pre-orders for Pokemon GO Plus went up around E3 time, including the Nintendo UK store. But just like in North America, they sold out fairly quickly. They are at least back up again here.

If you’re in the U.S., there unfortunately aren’t really any options at the moment. Amazon and GameStop both sold out of pre-orders quickly. We’ll let you know if they do happen to return.

We’ll also mention that the Nintendo UK listing says Pokemon GO Plus will be delivered by August 31. This may be a second shipment for the game, hence the later date.

The second Play Nintendo Show has gone live. View the new video below, which focuses on Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
