Image & Form posted the latest episode of “The Engine Room” today. There’s plenty of talk pertaining to
SteamWorld Heist, including an update on the Wii U version’s release and cross-buy support. Image & Form also briefly touches on the possibility of more DLC.

Vans x Nintendo collection now available to purchase

As was announced earlier in the week, the Vans x Nintendo collection has launched in the United States. You can pick up various items on the official shop here.
The Vans x Nintendo collection is also starting to pop up at international retailers as well, including Amazon. Items are starting to go up in Canada, the UK

Super Mario Maker – Shaun the Sheep costume and Event Course now live

The Shaun the Sheep costume for Super Mario Maker, announced earlier today, is now available. You can unlock the outfit after completing the new “Shaun’s Mossy Mole Mischief” Event Course.
Here’s an overview of the level:
In this course, inspired by Aardman’s world-famous Shaun the Sheep, Mario must bounce and bound skillfully to avoid traps set out by a motley mob of mischievous Monty Moles! Finish the course to unlock a baa-rilliant Shaun the Sheep reward!

Nintendo shows off some of Splatoon’s weapons from Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2

The Japanese Splatoon Twitter account issued some screenshots of the weapons included in Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2. We have a look at four of them. The names may be different in the west, but they’re currently going by these names:
– Bento Splat Charger (Splash Wall sub, Echolocator special)
– Bento Splatterscope (Splash Wall sub, Echolocator special)
– N-ZAP ’83 (Point Sensor sub, Kraken special)
– Necro Range Blaster (Burst Bomb sub, Killer Wail special)

We should be seeing the other four weapons before Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2 drops next week.

Some developers still unsure about what’s going on with NX

At this point, there are definitely companies out there who have NX dev kits. There are some others though who still haven’t heard much from Nintendo.
Take these two comments from Skylanders developer Toys for Bob for example:
“We haven’t heard any news from Nintendo, so we don’t have any announcements.” – Paul Yan, Toys for Bob’s associate creative director
“I don’t know what [the NX] is. (Nintendo keeps a) very, very, very, very, very tight lid on everything.” – Lou Studdert, associate producer at Toys for Bob
Miitomo – new stages and clothing available in Miitomo Drop

Miitomo has now been updated with some new content. Nintendo has added in new “I do! Wedding Bliss” stages in Miitomo Drop, which can net you the following items:
– Wedding veil w/ flower crown
– Wedding gown
– Rhinestone necklace
– Rose headpiece
– Rose evening gown
– Chiffon party dress
– Corsage pumps
– Pearly flower pin
– Wedding tuxedo
– Patent tuxedo shoes
– Rose boutonniere
Miitomo Drop stages can be accessed from the Shop tap. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.

Splatoon version 2.8.0 coming on June 7 with Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2

Nintendo will release a new update for Splatoon on the evening of June 7 (June 8 in Europe), the company has announced. The patch will be version 2.8.0.
The main highlight of Splatoon’s latest update is the addition of nine new weapon combos through Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2. Additionally, there will be weapon balance adjustments and bug fixes.
Maintenance will also be taking place next week. That’s scheduled for the following times:
– 5:50 PM PT (June 7) – 7 PM PT (June 7)
– 8:50 PM ET (June 7) – 10 PM ET (June 7)
– 1:50 AM in the UK (June 8) – 3 AM in the UK (June 8)
– 2:50 AM in Europe (June 8) – 4 AM in Europe (June 8)
Please note that due to the update, server maintenance is scheduled to occur from 5:50 PM – 7 PM PT on Tue, June 7th.
