Today, Capcom announced its latest financial results for the nine months of fiscal year ending March 31, 2016. The company’s net sales came in at 57,060 million yen, up 19.3 percent from the same period last year. Operating income rose 9 percent year-over-year to 10,604 million yen and ordinary income is reported at 10,640 million yen, an increase of 5.2 percent from the same term last year. Finally, net income is also up 7.1 percent from the same period last year to 7,006 million yen.

Capcom said that Monster Hunter X “was a major hit”, but The Great Ace Attorney’s sales “remained slow.” Additionally, “sales of repeat titles and digital download contents were firm, particularly in overseas markets, in the Digital Contents business.”

Two Monster Hunter 3DS games are in Capcom’s million sellers list. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate moved another 200,000 copies, and lifetime sales now sit at 4.1 million. Monster Hunter X has sold 3.2 million copies, exceeding Capcom’s forecast of 2.5 million units.

If you pick up Shadow Puppeteer on the eShop today, it’s highly recommended that you play directly from the Wii U’s storage. Unfortunately, performance is drastically impacted if the download is being read from an external hard drive. The game’s developers to intend to patch things in the future, but until then, definitely be aware of the potential issues you may encounter.

“We have found that playing the game from an external hard drive will make the game run slower because the read/write rate of the hard drive. Of course we want everyone to be able to play the game, from external hard drives too, so we will make sure to address this in our patches. Until then we recommend that the game is played directly from the Wii U.”

Following the game’s lengthy maintenance, a new patch has been released for Super Mario Maker. Applying the update will bring it up to version 1.32.

Today’s patch simply addresses a glitch while in “Create” mode. It’s a 298MB download, in case you’re curious.

“Malo” is back with yet another tweet pertaining to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. A specific character is the focus for the third time this week, with concept art of Zant being shown.

Here’s the new Twilight Princess tweet translated from the Japanese Zelda Twitter page:

“…It’s Malo. The name of this guy who looks like a **men Ri**r (censored Kamen Rider) is… “Bamboo Shoot-type Final Battle Weapon Zant No.1″… ah it’s wrong isn’t it… anyway, he’s an evil character indeed… and on top of that [he’s based on] a bamboo shoot… That’s uncool…”

This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals Super Bike Rider: Gather! Super Beast Hunter, the latest Bike Rider entry for 3DS. The magazine has some extensive details about Spicysoft’s new game. It has the prefix “Super”, which means all aspects are being upgraded.

One of the new features is “Bike Super Beast”. Enemies will drop parts, and by combining them you’ll be able to obtain Bike Super Beasts with excellent stats. In total there are over 40 Bike Super Beasts.

The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of December 2015. You can check out the full results below.

Another round of footage has come in for Moving Player’s Level 22, which is due out tomorrow in North America and Europe on the eShop. Check out the latest video below.

Kit and Krysta, the hosts of Nintendo Minute, are often asked why they started the show and how it came about. This is something that the two addressed head-on in a post on Nintendo’s new Tumblr page.

Here’s the full exchange between the two:

Kit: Today we’re going to cover a question that we get fairly frequently from Nintendo Minute viewers, which is “how the heck did the two of you get started doing this thing anyway?”

Krysta: I sometimes ask myself the same question but I think the number one reason (at least for me) is we started Nintendo Minute because of one thing and one thing only; we love Nintendo games and we wanted to share that with you guys!

Kit: Yes, I feel very lucky that throughout my life I’ve been able to have friends around me who are also into games, and that I can talk to about games, because let’s be honest, it’s what we’re constantly thinking about. At the same time, I know there are people out there who may not be in the same position. You and I have had these sorts of discussions ever since we started at Nintendo, so it felt natural to translate them to video and share with everyone else. It’s also been a fun way to document my journey with facial hair! Please look forward to my Viking beard braid in 2017.

Krysta: We’re incredibly lucky to work at a company that really cultivates this type of environment and really encourages us to share our passion with all of you. And yes, it’s weird to see how different we look through the years. And there’s one more thing I want to bring up. We’re definitely not making these videos because we think we’re, like, game playing geniuses or something. But one thing for me that I’ve always believed in, is that you don’t have to be awesome at games to love them. In fact, I think I really suck at most games but it doesn’t make them any less fun for me to play them.

Kit: Our failed dreams of eSports glory aside, Nintendo Minute has really brought us closer to the Nintendo fan community, whether it’s meeting people at events or reading comments (we read them all!). I love how there’s such a circular relationship.

Krysta: Well now I think you’re scaring them…

Kit: This post is too cordial…I…I…don’t know what to do next.

The very first Nintendo Minute aired during the middle of 2013. In May, the show will be celebrating its third anniversary. Time really flies, doesn’t it?
