Strayed Lights release date set for April, gameplay trailer

Strayed Lights, the atmospheric action adventure game from Embers, now has a release date. The studio announced today that the title arrives on April 25, 2023.
Embers only just made Strayed Lights known for Switch last month. The game was initially given a Spring 2023 launch window.

Original (2/23): Today, publisher Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 revealed Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connection. It will be available on Switch later in 2023.
The game builds off of the previously-released Ultimate Ninja Storm titles. Bandai Namco says the upcoming title features the story of Naruto and Sasuke, which “has been re-cut and combined with an all new original story”. This particular entry will have the largest roster ever for the series.

Daedalic Entertainment will soon be putting The Pillars of the Earth on Switch, the company announced today. The title’s launch is scheduled for March 1, 2023.
The Pillars of the Earth is a visual novel based on Ken Follet’s actual novel. It features hand-painted backgrounds, deep characters, and choices that affect the outcome of the story.

Miyamoto doesn’t think Nintendo will change much when he’s gone

In an interview with NPR, Shigeru Miyamoto was asked about what Nintendo will be like when he’s gone. But in his view, he doesn’t think much will change.
Miyamoto explained to the outlet that many people within the company – including those who work on Mario games – “all have this sense of what it means to be Nintendo.” He also pointed out how many new ideas often have the essence of Nintendo.

Vernal Edge release date set for March

A final released date has come in for Vernal Edge, a fast-paced Metroidvania game. Publisher PID Games and developer Hello Penguin Team confirmed today that it’s due out on March 14, 2023.
Vernal Edge was first confirmed for Switch last August. There was no word on a release window at the time.

List of returning Pokemon for Scarlet and Violet DLC seemingly leaked

Thanks to a datamine, the near-complete list of returning Pokemon for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet DLC has apparently been revealed.
Version 1.2.0 dropped for both games today. Twitter user mattyoukhana_ discovered that instead of stubbing them, Game Freak deleted Pokedex entries for a ton of Pokemon. That’s what gives us the lineup of returning creatures. Some fans may recall that something similar happened with the DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
