Mighty No. 9 and Mega Man are two similar characters. Both are robots. Both are from creator Keiji Inafune. Who’d he pick in a fight?

That would be Mighty No. 9, as he explained to Kotaku:

“Unfortunately Mega Man is an older robot and uses the older parts. A little bit too old school. I don’t know if he would be able to compete with the newer, shinier version of Beck.”

Continuing on the topic of similarity, Mighty No. 9 and Mega Man offer comparable gameplay elements, but Inafune feels both franchises can co-exist.

“Yeah. If the question is just, ‘Can they exist as two different franchises at the same time?’ then my answer is yes, of course. Capcom should be doing things with the Mega Man franchise just like we are with this original game.”

“Ultimately, it would be great for the fans because then they would be able to play even double the content that they otherwise could,” he continued. “So, in this perspective, yes, please, let both games exist.”

Nintendo TVii was said to be on track for a release in Europe sometime this year. Only four months remain in 2013, and we haven’t heard a peep out of Nintendo of Europe. What’s the deal?

The good news is that Nintendo TVii is still planned for the territory. The bad news is that Nintendo still has no concrete news to share.

In a statement, the company said:

“We are working to bring a similar Nintendo TVii service to Europe however we have nothing to announce at the current time.”

Most know Bertil Hörberg as the creator of Gunman Clive. He’s now hard at work on a brand new title for the 3DS eShop, but is also an official Wii U developer.

Hörberg announced on Twitter earlier today that he’s now in possession of a Wii U dev kit:

Don’t expect any Wii U titles from Hörberg in the immediate future. His next title is only slated for 3DS, he confirmed.

It’s kind of odd seeing Nintendo put out such a short clip, but here’s what we have…

TNT Racers, initially a WiiWare title, has just launched on the Wii U eShop as “Nitro Machines Edition” – a souped-up version of the original.

Nitro Machines Edition may not only end up being a Wii U release – keen games has expressed interest in a potential 3DS eShop version as well.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, producer Thorsten Röpke stated:

“The 3DS is a great console, if TNT Racers is successful on Wii U we certainly will evaluate the possibility to bring the game to 3DS.”
