Pre-order Metroid: Samus Returns at GameStop, get a keychain

GameStop has revealed a special pre-order bonus for Metroid: Samus Returns. If you reserve the game, you’ll be entitled to a free keychain.
The offer applies to both versions of Samus Returns – the standard release and Legacy Edition. It also works both online and in-store.

Dragon Quest XI devs on 3DS version’s creation, surprises and homages, no DLC, much more

With Dragon Quest XI’s release just on the horizon, Japanese magazines are publishing big features about the game this week. That includes Dengeki PlayStation, who has an interview with series creator Yuji Horii, producer Yosuke Saito, and director Takeshi Uchikawa.
All three developers shared a ton about Dragon Quest XI. They talked about creating the 3DS version, teased surprises, talked about homages, and confirmed no plans for DLC. Find everything rounded up below, courtesy of Siliconera.
Square Enix on the lack of voice acting in Dragon Quest XI

Dragon Quest XI doesn’t feature any sort of voice acting. In the latest issue of Famitsu, the RPG’s developers explain why, as translated by Siliconera.
Square Enix gave much thought to the possibility of including voice acting in Dragon Quest XI. In fact, it was something that the staff had big debates about. Ultimately, the team decided to preserve the style Dragon Quest is known for.

Minecraft maintenance taking place tonight, Switch / Wii U / 3DS tomorrow

More maintenance has been added to this week’s schedule. Minecraft will first be down tonight for a couple of hours while the new update is added. Switch / Wii U / 3DS will also be impacted by maintenance tomorrow.

Pokemon Shuffle update (7/25/17) – Shiny Tyranitar

Pokemon Shuffle will be getting a few new stages this time around in the update. A competitive stage that contains Shiny Tyrnaitar. The Entei stage is also now available and both of these stages will be available until August 1st.
Hitmonchan and Kyurem have repeat stages that will last until August 8th. And finally the survival mode has been updated with many new stages.

Pokemon Sun and Moon – The ninth global mission is now live

The ninth global mission is now available in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Players must win at the Loto inside the Festival Plaza a total of 1,000 times worldwide for the mission to be a success. If you win one time you will receive a Rare Candy and if the mission makes it to 2,000 everyone will receive a Fast Ball. This global mission will remain active until August 8th.

How the Metroid amiibo work in Metroid: Samus Returns

Metroid: Samus Returns will have plenty of amiibo functionality when the game launches in September. You’ll be able to use the new Samus and Metroid figures being prepared for the game, along with the previously-released amiibo from the Smash Bros. series.
Nintendo opened the Japanese website for Samus Returns earlier today. It doesn’t have a whole lot of information currently, but the amiibo page was also updated with details on the game’s amiibo support.
