The Sonic the Hedgehog movie will not release towards the end of the year as originally planned. It will now debut on February 14, 2020, director Jeff Fowler has announced.

Fowler said on Twitter that the extra time will be used “to make Sonic just right.” He passed along the following tweet:

Weekly Shonen Jump will have “surprising news” about Dragon Quest next month, the magazine has teased. Information will be published in the issue releasing June 10.

Square Enix has one upcoming Dragon Quest game in Dragon Quest XI S, so it could be related to that. Of course, it could also be something else entirely. We’ll just have to wait and see, but we should be finding out what’s being teased here soon.

For many, may years, Game Freak has been strongly attached to the Pokemon franchise. However, we’ve seen the studio branch out as of late with the likes of HarmoKnight, Pocket Card, Jockey, and Giga Wrecker Alt.

Giga Wrecker Alt. stems from a second production team at Game Freak that works on original titles. And according to programmer and director Masayuki Onoue, the Gear Project team is being prioritized – even “more than Pokemon in general.”

Here’s some additional information for those who plan on attending the tournaments, along with an FAQ:
