Following up on yesterday’s debut trailer, a second video has appeared for Mega Man: Fully Charged to promote the animated series’ first episode. Watch it below.

MercurySteam worked very closely with Nintendo on last year’s Metroid: Samus Returns. That wasn’t the first time the studio collaborated with a Japanese company, as Konami was present when the team was creating the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games.

In a new interview, MercurySteam’s Enric Álvarez was asked about the differences in working with Japanese and western publishers. Álvarez specifically brought up Nintendo and stated that they value quality, polish, and player satisfaction above all else.

Registration numbers are in for this year’s EVO. Two Smash Bros. games are in the middle of the pack, with Wii U and Melee at 1,303 and 1,302 registrations respectively. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle also has 1,148 people signed up.

Nintendo and Moleskine have teamed up with a new limited edition series of Super Mario notebooks. The Big N provides the following information about what’s being offered:

Two pocket-sized notebooks reproduce the physical elements of the game: the cartridge which showcases a replica of the original label and the nostalgic and instantly recognizable Game Boy™ with its simple and easy to use buttons and original imagery. The two larger notebooks capture the screens of the early gameplay: one with a sky-blue background and the other with a black background featuring controller details (the highlighted buttons are those that make Mario jump).

Eurogamer spoke with Sonic Mania director Christian Whitehead as part of a feature exploring the creation of the game. One interesting topic brought up is what actually makes a Sonic game.

Whitehead shared the following on that front:

Mega Man X: Mega Mission has been published in Japanese, but never in English. That will change early next year thanks to UDON Entertainment.

UDON revealed at Comic-Con yesterday that Hitoshi Ariga’s Mega Man X: Mega Mission will finally receive a North American release. The first full-color, 48-page issue will be made available in January 2019.

As Rockman Corner notes, Mega Mission first appeared in Hitoshi Ariga’s Rockman Remix manga compilation in 1996. It’s an adaptation of the Mega Mission trading cards by Bandai, which follows a storyline that took place between Mega Man X2 and Mega Man X3.
