sonic the hedgehog 3 michael jackson

There’s been a longstanding debate as to whether Sonic the Hedgehog 3 features music from Michael Jackson. Discussion surrounding that topic only picked up recently with many noticing that the re-release of the game in the just-launched Sonic Origins replaced a number of tunes. As it turns out, the original speculation was correct.

Yuji Naka, the creator of Sonic, confirmed the news casually on Twitter. Naka appeared to notice that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 now has different music in Sonic Origins, which led him to say the following:

Pokemon: Hisuian Snow episode 3

Pokemon: Hisuian Snow episode 3, titled “Two Hues”, is now available to view online. This also marks the end of the story.

In an interview with Variety, Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri defended the decision to have Chris Pratt play the role of Mario in the upcoming Super Mario animated movie.

Some have felt that it was the wrong move given how Pratt isn’t Italian. However, Meledandri believes strongly in his performance.

LEGO Super Mario Character Packs Series 5

During LEGO CON today, new products were revealed for the LEGO Super Mario line with Character Packs Series 5 having just been announced.

Eight more figures are on the way. The lineup includes Nabbit, Purple Toad, Hammer Bro, Waddlewing, Toady, Baby Yoshi, Red Yoshi, and Blue Shy Guy.

Here’s the official description for Packs Series 5:

The NES Classic Edition, a miniature replica of the NES with thirty games, came out in 2016 followed by a SNES version the following year. Some have hoped that Nintendo could try out something similar with other systems like the N64 or even the Game Boy, but we haven’t seen anything like that. Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime believes we won’t see anything like it again.

Reggie was asked about the possibility of more miniature systems while speaking with CNET. In his view, it’s not something Nintendo will revisit. Reggie believes Nintendo should instead pursue more N64 titles for Nintendo Switch Online as well as the addition of GameCube and Wii.

Kid Kirby

A fresh set of details have emerged about Kid Kirby, a game that was once planned for the SNES.

DMA Design, the studio that went on to become Rockstar North and a primary developer of the Grand Theft Auto series, was put in charge of the project. It would have featured the SNES Mouse add-on with players using the device to launch Kirby through levels. Unfortunately, Nintendo ended up scrapping the project after development failed to properly progress, and the SNES Mouse was far from a sales success.

Emily Rogers, who is known for sharing Nintendo rumors, made a new post on gaming forum Famiboards yesterday regarding supposed details for a new Fire Emblem game on Switch.

The juiciest tidbit is that the title has apparently been finished for over a year. While it was originally planned to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, Nintendo ended up holding on to the game for a later date.

nintendo direct rumor june 2022

We’re in the middle of June and what would have been E3, so many can’t help but wonder if and when a Nintendo Direct presentation will air. Although there’s absolutely no confirmation currently, there’s talk that an event could be happening at the end of this month.

Today’s rumor comes from Alanah Pearce, a writer that previously worked at IGN and is now with Sony Santa Monica. During a live stream, Pearce seemed confident in stating that a Nintendo Direct is coming on June 29.

Pokemon multiplayer battles

According to Pokemon producer Shigeki Morimoto, the original entries in the series almost left out multiplayer battles.

That news comes from a Japanese Pokedex book from 1996, which was recently translated by Did You Know Gaming. Morimoto mentioned how he thought multiplayer battles “would be a pain to program”. Additionally, Game Freak was running out of time. Nintendo, however, essentially demanded for the feature to be included.
