EarthBound Beginnings notebook added to My Nintendo in Europe

EarthBound Beginnings joined Nintendo Switch Online not too long ago, and that’s being celebrated with a new reward on My Nintendo. Added to the site today is the EarthBound Beginnings notebook. Unfortunately though, it’s currently available in Europe only – it’s not live on the North American site.
As noted by the official product description, the EarthBound Beginnings notebook has eight sheets of manuscript paper for musical notation and 56 blank pages for regular note-taking.

Build-A-Bear reveals Leafeon plushie

Build-A-Bear’s support for Pokemon continues, as it’s been revealed today that the brand is coming out with a brand new plushie for Leafeon.
The online bundle contains an exclusive cape, sleeper, and 5-in-1 sound. Leafeon is a Grass-type Pokemon that’s “ready to soak up the sun with its yellow fur, brown paws, leafy tail and large ears.”

2022 World Video Game Hall of Fame finalists announced

It’s the middle of March, which means it’s time to find out about the annual finalists for the World Video Game Hall of Fame – this time, it’s the 2022 edition. The Strong announced the lineup today.

My Nintendo adds N64 keychains in North America

A couple of physical rewards have just been added to My Nintendo in North America, with members now able to spend their points on N64 keychains.
The keychains come in two sets. One features The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 while the other features Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64, and as you can see, they’re based on the official boxart. They measure in a 2.3″ W x 1.6″ H. The package size is Package size: 6″x 6″.

My Nintendo adds Triangle Strategy pin sets in Europe

Over in Europe, My Nintendo members can spend their points on new Triangle Strategy rewards. A pair of pin sets were just added to the site.
The first set features Serenoa & Frederica while the second is for Roland & Benedict. They measure 3.0 x 3.0cm (backing card: 8.5 x 5.0cm) while the material is zinc alloy, nickel coated.

Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest. announced

It’s just been announced that the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest. will be taking place this summer.
According to the official website, this is “a one-time-only music festival will be held featuring a large big band-style ensemble of 35 musicians performing in a variety of genres”. The venue will even feature a large LED monitor with a moving Kirby.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie final trailer

Paramount Pictures has gone live with a final trailer for its upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie. This comes ahead of the film’s debut next month.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 takes place immediately after the first movie from 2020. Dr. Robotnik is up to his nefarious ways, and enlists the help of Knuckles the Echidna for revenge on Sonic. Meanwhile, Sonic teams up with Miles “Tails” Prower – who makes his debut – with the two going off on a search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

Nintendo halts shipment to Russia, statement shared

Nintendo confirmed in a statement that it’s put a pause on product shipments to Russia. Additionally, the eShop in that country “is currently under maintenance following the suspension of transactions in Russian rubles by the payment provider.”
All of this ties into the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Earlier in the week, Nintendo delayed Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, citing “recent world events”. It is currently unclear when the title will be receiving a new release date.

Good Smile has followed up with more information about its Undertale Sans and Papyrus Nendoroids with a release date, photos, and pre-orders.
Both figures are currently planned to ship in November 2022. These figures were first made known last September, and we then got a first look last month.
Super Nintendo World to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023

Super Nintendo World will open its doors at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, it’s just been announced.
Ahead of that, “exclusive apparel and collectibles” will be offered at the Feature Presentation store in the park. This is said to be “opening soon.” The store will house apparel for Mario and Luigi, character hats, and plushies for the likes of Yoshi, Mario, Bowser, and Luigi.
