Sonic Prime

Thanks to a new partnership with SEGA, Netflix is working on a brand new animated series for Sonic the Hedgehog. We know a few details about the project, which is titled Sonic Prime. It will be comprised of 24 episodes, will be animated by WildBrain’s Vancouver studio, and Man of Action Entertainment is involved. The announcement also mentioned that the show will feature “a high-octane adventure” in which it’ll be up to Sonic to save the fate of “a strange new multiverse”.

Netflix hasn’t shared any images of Sonic Prime, but concept art has now emerged. TailsChannel spotted various images on the profile of an ArtStation user.

Pokemon Sword/Shield

At the end of 2019, The Pokemon Company filed lawsuits against leakers that had made certain information about the games known prior to release. The defendants were involved with uploading pictures to the internet that revealed unannounced Pokemon and alternate forms from the official strategy guide.

We now know that one defendant took these photos while working for the company that was hired to print the strategy guide. A second person involved in the lawsuit ended up posting the images to Discord. According to The Pokemon Company, they soon spread to a “worldwide audience”.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake

Forever Entertainment has been around for a decade, but has started to gain more prominence in recent years. It certainly helps that the company teamed up with SEGA for remakes. A redone version of Panzer Dragoon was put on Switch last year, with The House of the Dead to follow later in 2021.

Today, Forever Entertainment announced that it has signed a new agreement with Nintendo. As part of that, Forever will be receiving “a significant financial backing”.

Here’s a brief translation of the announcement from Cass_Se:

These include the Bowser’s Airship Expansion Set, Boss Sumo Bro Topple Tower Expansion Set, Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set, Reznor Knockdown Expansion Set, Frog Mario Power-Up Pack, Bee Mario Power-Up Pack, and Character Packs – Series 3.

After more than three decades, Famicom Detective Club finally returned last month. Nintendo teamed up with Mages to produce brand new remakes. The Missing Heir as well as The Girl Who Stands Behind both made it to Switch – and in the west for the very first time.

Now that Famicom Detective Club is back after such a long period, could we see an entirely new game? Makoto Asada, who worked on the remakes as a producer, would at least be interested in making that happened.
