Looking at the best partners across the Mario franchise
Posted on 4 months ago by Ethan in Features, General Nintendo | 0 comments
Today, we’re looking at all of Mario’s partners – not just from the Paper Mario series, but from almost every game in the entire franchise.
Over the years, Mario has been accompanied by many different partners – some of whom haven’t appeared since their initial debut. At the time of writing, the greater Mario franchise is in something of a transitional period. We do have Mario & Luigi: Brothership coming up, but beyond that everything is presumably being saved for Nintendo’s next console. That means it’s as good a time as any to review all of Mario’s partners and ask: which is your favorite?
Amazon Games planning Switch 2 support

When Nintendo is ready to come out with Switch 2, it looks like Amazon Games will eventually be there with games. Christoph Hartmann, the company’s vice president, recently pledged support and shared some other interesting thoughts about the system.
Hartmann made it clear in an interview with IGN that Amazon Games intends to make titles for Switch 2. However, he believes it’d be best for Nintendo to avoid rushing the hardware, even if that means waiting another year. Hartmann indicated that most third-parties should be fine waiting given how teams can rely on other gaming systems for the time being.
Hartmann’s full words about Amazon Games and Switch 2:

The museum seems to have two floors. You’ll be able to see side-by-side displays of products, participate in special experiences, make Hanafuda playing cards, visit the cafe, and check out merchandise at the shop. We’ve got plenty more details in our post here.
Despite covering a lot in this week’s presentation, Nintendo didn’t cover every last thing that will be at the museum. But in terms of what hasn’t been shown or what you feel might be missing, what would you like to see? Let us know in the comments.

Did You Know Gaming published a new report about Toys for Bob today, and it claims that Crash Team Rumble was cancelled for Switch.
Crash Team Rumble originally released in June 2023. Unfortunately, the game failed to make an impact. Sales were low and there wasn’t much interested in watching the game at places such as Twitch. Did You Know Gaming says that a Switch version of Crash Team Rumble was in development at one point, but Activision cancelled the port “due to the lack of interest in the other versions.”

Crash Bandicoot 5 was reportedly in development as a Spyro crossover, but was cancelled
Posted on 4 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
According to an in-depth report from Did You Know Gaming (full video here), Toys for Bob was once developing Crash Bandicoot 5 which would have been a crossover game with Spyro the Dragon. However, the project was ultimately cancelled.
The hook behind Crash Bandicoot 5, aside from Crash Twinsanity’s Academy of Evil making a comeback as the main setting, involved the return of Uka Uka, who previously appeared in Crash Bandicoot: Warped and was in Crash Bandicoot 4’s secret ending. Uka Uka would have gained access to an interdimensional portal in which he would travel to Spyro’s universe, use his magic on the Dragon Elders, and send that world into chaos while also threatening Crash’s home. Crash Bandicoot 5 was considered to be slightly darker compared to the previous title – in terms of both visuals and storytelling – with a stronger focus on the series’ lore.
