Retro fantasy idle game Tap Wizard 2 out on Nintendo Switch this week

Ultimate Games has picked up Tap Wizard 2 for publishing on Nintendo Switch, the company announced today. It’s due out very soon – specifically January 30, 2025.
Tap Wizard 2, an idle game with action RPG and shooter elements, was made by TopCog. The title has an extensive spell and skill system.

Yooka-Replaylee bringing back Shovel Knight

Playtonic just announced that Shovel Knight will be making a return in Yooka-Replaylee, its updated version of the 3D platformer.
Today’s news was shared in celebration of Playtonic’s tenth anniversary. Shovel Knight himself will have “a shiny coat of paint”, and players can expect a new and improved quest for players to undertake.

Pokemon Home start Shiny Manaphy, Shiny Enamorus distributions

If you’re a Pokemon Home user, you might be interested to know that Shiny Manaphy and Shiny Enamorus are now up for grabs.
The tasks for both are pretty simple to complete, though they’ll take some effort. There’s no end date for the distributions, so thankfully you won’t have to rush. By finishing up for Sinnoh Pokedex for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, that’s how you’ll get Shiny Manaphy in Pokemon Home. The same goes for wrapping up the Hisui Pokedex for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, netting players Shiny Enamorus.

Co-op puzzler Parallel Experiment heading to Nintendo Switch

Today, Eleven Puzzles shared plans to bring Parallel Experiment to Nintendo Switch. The game launches later in 2025.
Parallel Experiment is a co-op puzzle title in which players need to work together and escape the Cryptic Killer’s deadly experiment. Cross-play will be supported across all platforms.

January 16: Following up on the just-announced Switch 2, we have the official announcement from Nintendo as well as more details about the experience events.
Fans will be able to go hands-on with the new system for the first time starting in April. Events will be held in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

Atari just announced a new touch screen update for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic.
Players can now quickly access and adjust menus, place pathways and scenery, and construct roller coasters with this new option. There’s more to the patch as well. The team also added in the ability to modify cursor speeds and other visualization settings, as well as expanded tutorials to help new players adapt from mouse and keyboard to gamepad controls.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending January 25, 2025 is now available.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is back as the top seller on Nintendo Switch. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, which was #1 overall last week, moves down to #3. Another interesting appearance is Super Mario RPG, which is all the way up at #5.
