Nintendo has released the latest firmware update for Switch. The system is now at version 10.0.2, and this upgrade can be downloaded by all users worldwide.

Floating Island Games will release its first-person terrain manipulation game Cloudbase Prime on Switch next week, the developer announced today. The title will be offered as a digital download on the eShop starting May 7.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, many developers are now working from home. That includes Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai. Earlier this month, we heard that he’s now overseeing the game remotely.

Sakurai provided a status update in this week’s issue of Famitsu per his bi-weekly column. Fortunately, things have proceeded without any issues. Sakurai noted in the column that work from home is going well for him and the team. He also joked about saving time on not having to commute to work, and that he doesn’t have to be in a sweaty office.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia

Happinet will officially release a demo for Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia tomorrow, but it’s already out in Japan. Find some footage from the download below.

Dangen Entertainment and Moonsprout Games will release the adventure RPG Bug Fables on Switch next month, the two companies have announced. It’ll be out via the eShop on May 28.

Mario Tennis Aces will be featured as part of an online event with athletes and celebrities this weekend. Tennis and other sports have shut down due to the coronavirus, but the Switch game is providing another avenue to provide entertainment – and a chance raise some money for charity in the process.

Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams will be partaking in the event, known as “Stay at Home Slam”. Top tennis players will be paired with celebrities for the tournament such as Tennessee Titans quarterback Kevin Anderson.

Ninjala

Ninjala kicked off its open beta yesterday, giving Switch owners a chance to try out the game before launch. Dataminers have since gone to work and uncovered new information about the game. Twitter users OatmealDome and LeanYoshi have provided information regarding some collaboration items (including Sonic), story mode, microtransactions with Jala currency, and more.
