Tying in with Bound Hero Battle: Elincia & Nephenee, Fire Emblem Heroes has kicked off a new Summoning Focus. Elincia: Lost Princess, Nephenee: Fierce Halberdier, and Ike: Brave Mercenary are a part of the five-start event.

You’ll have until February 4 to participate. The first time you summon, you won’t have to use any Orbs.

The recently-revealed SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays was featured during a stage show at Taipei Game Show 2019 earlier today. New footage was included, and we have the full recording below.


Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has another round of maintenance scheduled for the coming week, including one session that starts today. Switch will be primarily impacted.

If it’s not already live on Switch, Super Daryl Deluxe should be getting an update very soon. Dan & Gary Games has added in a brand new feature: local co-op.

At the Splatoon Koshien 2019 tournament earlier today, Nintendo made a couple of new announcements for Splatoon 2.

As it turns out, the game isn’t quite finished adding new content. It’s been announced that more weapons are coming soon, which will be a part of Sheldon’s Picks. You can get a look at them above. Nintendo is also planning another update, but hasn’t elaborated on the details.

Planetarian

Listings on the North American, European, and Japanese eShops confirm that Planetarian will land on Switch next week. It’s currently slated for January 31 worldwide.

Team Sonic Racing

This week’s issue of Famitsu provides an update on Team Sonic Racing. There’s only a little bit new, but we do learn about a previously-unannounced track: Doctor’s Mine. The track is said to be a wide stage where you don’t really have to worry about falling off, and there are plenty of jumps and tunnels that make for a high speed race.

Famitsu also goes over the recently-revealed Team Eggman. Metal Sonic is a speed type, Zavok is a power type, and Eggman is a technique type. They also tease the possibility of Dodonpa being somehow related to Team Eggman.

Each year, GDC publishes its “State of the Industry” report. The 2019 edition went live this week that details trends involving Switch and more. Nearly 4,000 developers participated this time around.
