Unlock the new Super Mario Odyssey levels in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker right away with amiibo

For the upcoming Switch and 3DS versions of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Nintendo has included a few new levels based on Super Mario Odyssey. It turns out that they can be accessed immediately, but you’ll need amiibo to do it.
If you have any of the Super Mario Odyssey amiibo, you can scan them to unlock these stages right away. It works with the wedding figures for Mario, Peach, and Bowser. Don’t have amiibo? You can still access the courses – just by going through the game normally.
As for other amiibo, if you have a Toad figure, you can use it to obtain an Invincibility Mushroom. All other amiibo provide a 1-Up Mushroom.

At the start of 2018, Nintendo announced a partnership with Illumination for a new Mario movie. Chris Meledandri is a producer on the project, as is Shigeru Miyamoto.
The movie is likely early on in production, so it makes sense that details surrounding it are mostly unknown. But Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime did comment on the film in an interview with IGN, stating that it’s intended to appeal to Mario fans as well as newcomers.

Mario & Luigi developer AlphaDream references Switch in recruitment listing
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Over the past several years, AlphaDream has made a name for itself thanks to the Mario & Luigi titles. The studio has been creating various entries in the series dating back to the Game Boy Advance. A few months ago, Nintendo announced that AlphaDream is developing a remake of Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story for 2019.
AlphaDream has primarily been focusing on 3DS as of late. However, a recruitment listing gives hope that the team is thinking about Switch as well. The company’s site has a listing up for a 2D / 3D graphic designer, which includes Switch, mobile, and even the PlayStation 4.
It would be surprising for AlphaDream to branch away from Nintendo given the studio’s history. But if nothing else, various platforms could be under consideration for future projects.
