Banner of the Maid set for Nintendo Switch physical release

It’s been a few years since we originally saw Banner of the Maid, but the title is back in the news thanks to a Nintendo Switch physical release. This one is being handled by Super Rare Games.
The company will be making 4,000 copies in total. Buyers will receive a full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Nintendo has made close to $2.2 billion from mobile games, early data for Fire Emblem Shadows

According to data from Sensor Tower, Nintendo has made almost $2.2 billion in revenue from its mobile games. That’s based on the performance of all nine mobile titles it has released.
Nintendo’s latest mobile game, Fire Emblem Shadows, seems to be off to a bit of a slow start. It has seen 800,000 downloads with revenue coming in at $200,000.

Ninja Gaiden director Tomonobu Itagaki has passed away

Video game developer Tomonobu Itagaki has passed away. He was 58 years old.
Itagaki was behind the revival of the Ninja Gaiden franchise in 2004. Additionally, he was the creator of Dead or Alive. On the Nintendo front, he directed the Wii U game Devil’s Third.

An English Haunting has been announced for imminent launch on Nintendo Switch. The game comes out tomorrow, October 16.
An English Haunting is a point-and-click horror mystery game with detailed pixel art environments to explore, inventory puzzles to solve, and historical figures to interact wiith including Florence Cook, William Crookes, Harry Houdini, and Arthur Conan Doyle. There’s support for touchscreen as well as USB mouse compatibility when docked.

A small version 5.5.2 update just went live for Splatoon 2. You can download it now, but it will also be rolling out to those who have automatic updates enabled.
