Super Mario Odyssey – what happens when you reach the highest rank in Luigi’s Balloon World?

The new Luigi’s Balloon World in Super Mario Odyssey includes a ranking system. These take the forms of stars, and can be increased as you play the mini-game.
There is actually something that happens once you achieve the highest rank. It’s far from massive, but is more comparable to a small little change. You can see what this is about below.

Splatoon 2 – Japanese Splatfest #8 announced

The next Japanese Splatfest in Splatoon 2 will take place next weekend, Nintendo has announced.

Alteric lined up for Switch release next month

Sometimes You is planning another game for Switch. According to a listing on the North American eShop, Alteric will be available on March 30.
Alteric is a 2D platformer, in which your soul takes the form of light energy that is trapped in the alien space between two worlds. We have an official overview and a trailer below.

Starbreeze Studios wants to update Payday 2 on Switch with voice chat support once Nintendo allows for it

As things stand now, Payday 2 has no voice communication option on Switch. That’s a rather important deal given how integral communicating with other players is to the experience.
For its part, Starbreeze Studios does hope to offer voice chat in the future. A spokesperson told Kotaku:

Glitch being used in Super Mario Odyssey’s new mode to place balloons in impossible-to-reach areas

Luigi’s Balloon World in Super Mario Odyssey was added this week through a free update. Unfortunately, some players are already exploiting a glitch by clipping through walls to place balloons in impossible-to-reach areas.
The most prevalent kingdom affected is New Donk City. However, other worlds have been impacted as well.

Super Mario Encyclopedia finally releasing in English later this year

Original (2/19): The Super Mario Encyclopedia originally debuted in Japan back in October 2015. Three years later, the book is finally getting an English localization.
Dark Horse is continuing its relationship with Nintendo by handling the Super Mario Encyclopedia for western publishing. It offers a look at almost every Super Mario game created, starting from Super Mario Bros. up through Super Mario 3D World. You can expect descriptions of enemies, level layouts, tricks and glitches, and guides for finding all the collectibles. There are a total of 256 pages.
