We first heard about Piggyback’s plans for a Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide yesterday. The company has now posted another message on Twitter, giving us a much clearer image. Additionally, we have confirmation that three editions are planned: “Deluxe”, “Collector”, and “Regular”.

If nothing else, hopefully the guide news is a sign that Zelda: Breath of the Wild is launching sooner rather than later. Despite the rumors of a summer release, having it ready at Switch’s launch would be fantastic.

While Bottlerocket Entertainment was negotiating with Warner Bros. on a contract for a new Watchmen game many years ago, Brash Entertainment swooped in and offered to have the studio work on a title based on The Flash. Bottlerocket accepted, and shifted its resources. Work began on an open world game featuring The Flash in 2007, which included plans for a Wii version.

Bottlerocket had some ambitious plans in store for The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive. The character would have been a rookie of sorts, as he gets to grips with his abilities and foes. Players would have been able to cycle through different speed levels, perform tricks in the air, grind off rails, and even run off the side of buildings to access new areas of the open world. The team was also planning a feature so that The Flash could plow through objects after reaching a certain speed. When battling enemies, players would need to tap the appropriate buttons floating above them to execute a quick attack, and combos were also involved.

Cypronia has prepared a trailer for the Switch version of Cube Life: Island Survival. Take a look at it below.

Niantic has announced a new event for Pokemon GO to celebrate the holidays.

First, between December 25 and January 3, players will have a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and other recently found Pokemon from the Johto region. Special Pikachu wearing festive hats will also be staying around longer, as they’ll be more easily encountered during the holiday event.

If that wasn’t enough, beginning on December 30 through January 8, players will be more likely to encounter the first Pokemon and their Evolutions. This specifically applies to Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur, as well as Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard, plus Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise. Lure Modules will also last for 60 minutes instead of 30 minutes.

Continue on below for the full announcement from Niantic.

Update (12/23): The discount is now in place, so you should find that the $2 discount upgrade is live.

Original (12/22): Mario Party 2 launched on Wii U today, though this isn’t the first time the game has seen a Virtual Console release. It also came out on Wii many years ago. Of course, that means those who purchased the original Virtual Console version should be entitled to a $2 upgrade price on Wii U instead of the full $10. But unfortunately, it’s not showing up currently.

Zelda: Majora’s Mask went through something similar a few weeks ago. Soon after the issue was reported, Nintendo corrected the problem. I imagine that will be the case here as well.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero released this past week, but WayForward’s work on the game is far from finished. In the immediate future, it will be receiving an update. This will be mostly comprised of bug fixes.

Also, while we knew about this previously, DLC is lined up for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, such as Blue Shantae, Tinkerbat Form, and other Kickstarter backer exclusive features. News about DLC will be shared at the beginning of 2017.
