Nintendo’s maintenance schedule for the week of September 17, 2023 is now available. After several sessions took place over the past few days, at least for now, only one period is on the docket for early October.

Everdream Valley update 1.4

Everdream Valley recently got a new update on Switch with version 1.4, and it’s pretty significant.

First up is the Magic Flute, in which animals will follow you when played. It can be obtained with the “Bring Ducks” quest. Also included are user interface improvements and tons of bug fixes.

Escape Academy: The Complete Edition gameplay

We have a good chunk of gameplay for Escape Academy: The Complete Edition after it debuted on Switch this week. The title not only includes the main experience, but two pieces of DLC as well.

AK-xolotl gameplay

Xenoblade composer fresh start

Kenji Hiramatsu, one of the main composers of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, has shared a special message and says that “it’s time for a fresh start”.

Hiramatsu has worked on the franchise since the very beginning. Some of the tracks he’s been involved with include Engage the Enemy, You Will Know Our Names, Counterattack, You Will Recall Our Names, and You Will Know Our Names – Finale. 

Full Void gameplay

OutOfTheBit brought Full Void to Switch this week, and we have a closer look with new gameplay. A bunch of footage is here for the 2D cinematic puzzle platformer.

Mortal Kombat 1 graphics comparison

A new graphics comparison video has come in for Mortal Kombat 1, showing how the Switch version stacks up to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam Deck) releases.

It seems that a number of compromises were made to get the fighter running on Switch with several adjustments having been implemented. Character models, geometry, textures, shadows, and more are all scaled back on Switch. The game also has a lower resolution on Switch as expected.
