Destructoid is reporting that Nintendo is funding Beyond Good & Evil 2. Better yet, the site claims that the game is planned as an NX exclusive for 2017. It would be a move similar to that of Bayonetta 2 on Wii U, which could help Nintendo generate goodwill with gamers by helping bring the much-desired sequel to its new platform as an exclusive.

Destructoid’s initial source originates from Alexander Maier, who recently posted a series of rumors about NX which I personally found rather dubious. However, the outlet “also reached out to a second source, who independently gave a number of the same bullet points regarding the future of Beyond Good and Evil. The number of points of crossover between these two sources suggests that this rumor, while not confirmed by Nintendo, may hold water.”

The new game may be currently carrying the working title “Beyond Good and Evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers”. This is said to be “a reference to a specific chapter in the philosophical text Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, which details how morality can be altered by authority, and the ways black-and-white morality overlooks the larger complexity of the nature of morals.”

As with all rumors, we can’t stress enough that this report should be taken with a grain of salt. If it were to be accurate though, it’d be a very interesting move on Nintendo’s part.

A pair of new Japanese Pokken Tournament commercials have gone live. Both are attached below.

This week’s North American Wii U Virtual Console release is now confirmed. Tomorrow, Bandai Namco will be bringing out Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures.

Here’s a brief overview of the game:

“Join Pac-Man as he explores and interacts with the world and characters around him. Take on a task, and then take a wild ride on a mine cart or set off on an intense hand-glider flight while fending off some unrestful ghosts. When you need a break from being the hero, relive the classics in Pac-City arcade with the original Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man.”

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures will set you back $7.99.

Pokemon Bank is running a special offer starting on March 4 and running through October 31. By accessing the app during this period, users will receive a Regirock, Regice, and Registeel that each possesses a Hidden Ability. Keep in mind that Pokemon Bank requires an annual membership fee of $4.99.

Here’s the promotion rundown from The Pokemon Company:

“You can get the Pokémon trio by selecting the Pokémon Link option from the menu screen of your Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game. Once you’ve received the Pokémon in Pokémon Bank, select Pokémon Link and the three Pokémon will be sent to a Box in your game. The three Pokémon will be sent one at a time from Pokémon Bank. Note that you can receive these Pokémon only once per Pokémon Bank account, even if you have multiple copies of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Each of the three Pokémon that you receive has a Hidden Ability, a trait they do not possess when found in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This is your first chance to get these Pokémon with their Hidden Abilities, so don’t miss this opportunity!”

And here’s a breakdown of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel:

Update: Here’s the story overview from Gematsu:

“Arcadia,” a land dominated by swords and magic. A huge tree from ancient times called “Yggdrasil” exists here and is to be the reason that peace visits the world.

There is a legend about that World Tree. If you can manage to reach its untrodden summit, it is said that your dreams will come true.

“The power to dominate the world.” “The most powerful.” “The world’s mysteries.” “Expensive treasures.”

Although there are four races that live in this land, each has a different legend, but no person has been able to confirm them.

From the city “Aolith” at the bottom of Yggdrasil, the official orders are issued. In pursuit of the legend legend, the courageous adventurers who challenge Yggdrasil will gather in Aolith. And in accordance with official orders, you’ll be the one to gather those adventurers.

Whether it’s for wealth and honor, or to satisfy your sense of adventure, you’ll challenge the labyrinths and aim for the top of the World Tree.

Dutch website N1ntendo, an outlet with a fairly decent reputation, claims to have information about tomorrow’s European Nintendo Direct. There is some reason to be skeptical, and there is no guarantee that all of the items posted will be presented during tomorrow’s broadcast. That being said, now that we’re aware of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Generations trademark which was included in N1ntendo’s leak, there is a reason to share the rumored lineup (which may or may not be incomplete).

Here’s a look at what N1ntendo posted:

Earlier today, Capcom filed a trademark for Monster Hunter Generations in Europe. It is thought that this could be the final English name for Monster Hunter X with an official announcement during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct.

Capcom itself is not mentioned specifically in the filing when accessed by the public. However, NerdLeaks notes that it can “guarantee” the company is behind the listing “thanks to the representative name and a deeper research.”

Here’s a look at the trademark from the European database:
