Castles hitting the Wii U eShop on September 15

It was only a few days ago that we heard about Castles coming to Wii U. Publisher BadLand Indie has since followed up with additional information, confirming a September 15 release date on Wii U.
Castles offers a mix of strategy and action gameplay. It follows “the story of the ambitious King Harold, whose greatest achievement will be the tower you are constructing.” Players are presented with more and more challenges as the tower grows in size. Unpredictable weather conditions along with the efforts of the jealous and vengeful King Edmund (who is King Harold’s nemesis) will attempt to get in your way.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon to be featured in a live-stream next week

A new live stream will be held next week, and past Pokemon Mystery Dungeon titles will be featured. While Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time will be taking the main focus, we’re hearing that Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is getting showcased on the program as well.
The stream will begin at the following times:
4 AM PT
7 AM ET
12 PM in the UK
1 PM in Europe
It will last through the next day, meaning this should be a 24-hour stream.
Weavile, Charizard revealed for Pokken Tournament

Bandai Namco revealed another pair of characters for Pokken Tournament during a live stream held today. Weavile and Charizard – who will also come along as Mega Charizard X – will be included in the game.
Trailers for Weavile and Charizard can be found below. There’s a gameplay demonstration for both as well.

Denpa Ningen no RPG Free reaches 2.2 million downloads, gets free update

Denpa Ningen no RPG Free, the still Japan-only F2P game for 3DS, is quite the success story. It launched about a year ago, on July 23rd 2014, and has been download 2.2 million times since then. The game will receive its next major update next week, which includes both bug fixes and some new features, such as the ability to tame monsters.
Someone found a prototype SNES PlayStation / CD-ROM drive

As you might know, in the early 90s Sony worked together with Nintendo to create a CD-ROM drive add-on for the Super Nintendo – however, this device never made it to store shelves as Nintendo made a similar deal with Phillips behind Sony’s back. Nintendo and Sony went their separate ways with Sony creating their own consoles, a rivalry that defined the video game business for over 2 decades now.
Yesterday, someone on the r/gaming subreddit (currently inaccessible) posted of an SNES-CD prototype – notable because reportedly only about 200 of those were ever created. Check out the images in our gallery below – quite strange to see both the Sony and PlayStation trademarks on an SNES controller, right?
It is currently not known what is on the cartridge shown in the picture, or if the prototype still works.

Project X Zone 2 getting a 3DS theme

Bandai Namco is creating a 3DS theme based in Project X Zone 2. In Japan, it will be distributed as a first-print bonus. I’d say it’s very likely that the 3DS theme will be coming to both North America and Europe as well.
