Throughout this week, Amazon and Best Buy are holding a few notable Wii U sales.

The first notable discount is for the Splatoon Wii U bundle. Through June 20, consumers can save $25 on the package. The bundle normally goes for $300 and includes a Wii U console as well as a copy of Splatoon.

Along with the Splatoon Wii U bundle, several titles for Nintendo’s console have gone on sale. Consumers can save $10 (Amazon, Best Buy) on Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and Mario Party 10.

Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones has been classified over in Australia. Nintendo is listed as publisher, so this rating should be for an upcoming Virtual Console release.

Arc System Works announced a couple of days ago that the company acquired the rights to Double Dragon and other franchises. Perhaps they’ll handle Double Dragon III’s eventual Virtual Console version?

The second Yo-Kai Watch film debuts in Japan on December 19, CoroCoro’s July issue reveals. Tickets go on sale starting on December 19.

The movie will be titled Eiga Yo-kai Watch: Enma Daioh to Itsutsu no Monogatari da Nyan! (Film Yo-kai Watch: Great King Enma and the 5 Stories, Meow!).

CoroCoro sadly doesn’t share any actual story details, so we’ll need to wait for further information.

Nintendo held the first Splatfest for Splatoon in Japan this weekend. It’s finished now, and Nintendo has gone ahead and announced the results.

Splatoon players were asked to choose between one of two sides. They could either vote for rice or bread as their favorite breakfast meal.

The official Japnaese Splatoon Twitter account reveals that rice came out on top with 57 percent of the vote. Bread nabbed just 43 percent.

Nintendo acknowledged that some players were experiencing connection issues during the Splatfest, which seemed to cause problems more for rice representatives. The company apologized for the trouble.

Unsurprisingly, Jupiter’s most recent Picross game will be coming west. The company has confirmed to Nintendo Everything that Picross e6 is currently targeted for overseas release during the summer. This applies to both North America and Europe, and if all goes well, there will be a simultaneous launch in both regions.

All previous Picross e games – the original up through Picross e5 – are available on the 3DS eShop.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden was rated in Australia a few days ago. From that listing, it’s been pretty much assumed that Bandai Namco has plans to localize the 3DS fighter.

If the Australian classification wasn’t enough, a retailer in Spain has apparently started advertising the game. Media Markt has put up a promo poster, which lists an October 30 release date. The included date is likely a placeholder, but the fact that it’s being advertised is certainly encouraging. With any luck, we’ll be getting an official announcement soon!

Thanks to the latest leaks from creamsugar – a person who is known for having access to NPD data – we now know how many Wii U consoles were sold in the U.S. during the month of May. Between May 1 and May 30, Nintendo moved roughly 42,500 units. That’s essentially the same amount as Wii U’s performance in April, when the console’s sales came in at 43,000 units.

We also have data for a pair of 3DS titles. First, Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition sold under 32,000 copies in the U.S. last month. Meanwhile, Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker’s sales came in at under 23,000 units.
