Thanks to GameSpot, we have a new comparison video for Metroid Prime Remastered that has the Switch version going up against the GameCube original. Additionally, new gameplay has surfaced.

It’s clear that Retro Studios put quite a bit of work into Metroid Prime Remastered. Aside from an updated resolution, assets have been updated, lighting has been improved, and more.

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster enhancements frame rate resolution

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster was only just announced for Switch a short while ago, but Bandai Namco has followed up with more details including enhancements being implemented, frame rate, resolution, and more. This stems from an official FAQ.

Fire Emblem Engage update 1.2.0

The latest update for Fire Emblem Engage has been made available, with the game moving up to version 1.2.0.

Support has been added for the Wave 2 Expansion Pass DLC. Also included is an adjustments and issues that have been addressed.

Nintendo $70 comment

Nintendo made it official today that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will cost $70, but that doesn’t mean it’s a sign of things to come. Game Informer managed to get a couple of comments from the company about the situation that may clarify things slightly.

As for why the new Zelda game is priced the way it is, Nintendo simply stated: “We determine the suggested retail price for any Nintendo product on a case-by-case basis.” Game Informer also asked if this is the trend for Nintendo games in the future, to which the Big N said: “No. We determine the suggested retail price for any Nintendo product on a case-by-case basis.”

Piczle Lines 2: Into the Puzzleverse

Piczle Lines 2: Into the Puzzleverse has been announced for Switch, and you won’t have to wait long to play it. Publisher Rainy Frog and developer Score Studios confirmed that the title is scheduled for February 22, 2023.

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg

Today, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg for Switch. Although it was first unveiled in a Japanese Nintendo Direct and wasn’t present elsewhere, we have confirmation that it’s arriving worldwide this summer.

Koei Tecmo will provide additional details during the Atelier Series 25th Anniversary Program #4. This will be happening on February 20.

Paranormasight The Seven Mysteries of Honjo

Square Enix today announced Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, a horror-adventure visual novel game. Switch owners can pick it up on March 9, 2023.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe preview

Nintendo recently held a short media preview demo for Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe ahead of its upcoming release on Switch. The original Wii game is an all-time Kirby classic, so having it on the hybrid platform at all is compelling.
