Layers of Fear: Legacy launches February 21, new trailer

Bloober Team has determined a release date for Layers of Fear: Legacy. The Switch title will launch via the eShop on February 21, the studio revealed today. Pricing is set at $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99.

Layers of Fear: Legacy is a first-person horror game that focuses on story and exploration. While it previously released on other platforms, the Switch version has a new graphical interface, supports HD Rumble, motion controls, and the touchscreen, and comes bundled with the Inheritance DLC featuring a new playable character.

Owlboy physical version confirmed for Switch, out May 29

Owlboy lands on Switch next week as a digital download. But if you prefer hard copies of games, you’ll be happy to hear that a physical version is on the way.
SOEDESCO will be publishing Owlboy at retail, the company has announced. A release is planned for May 29 in both North America and Europe. No word on pricing just yet, but we’ll bring you that information when we have it.
As for the digital version of Owlboy, that’s planned for February 13.

Digital Foundry tests Bayonetta 2 on Switch

The folks over at Digital Foundry have decided to take a look at Bayonetta 2 on the Switch. The main takeaways are that the game runs in 720p both in docked and in undocked mode and that the visual fidelity seems to be identical in both modes. Docked mode has the edge in terms of framerate, getting close but not always quite reaching a steady 60 fps. The framerate is the most obvious improvement compared to the Wii U version, since the game doesn’t seem to have received many visual improvements otherwise.
