A second maintenance period for Switch and 3DS maintenance has been scheduled for tonight / tomorrow. Certain network services such as online play, rankings, etc. may be impacted.

The schedule is as follows:

– 5:50 PM PT (September 19) – 7:30 PM PT (September 19)
– 8:50 PM ET (September 19) – 10:30 PM ET (September 19)
– 1:50 AM in the UK (September 20) – 3:30 AM in the UK (September 20)
– 2:50 AM in Europe (September 20) – 4:30 AM in Europe (September 20)

Earlier today, the official Kirby Twitter account shared a new gameplay video for Kirby Battle Royale. We’ve posted it below.

A special present is being given to all Pokemon Shuffle players that check in, it is a Shiny Ho-Oh. Some special stages are getting repeat runs such as Chikorita (Winking), Lugia, Meganium and Typhlosion. As well as a new Pokemon Safari with Unown N, Unown I, Unown C and Unown E as the Pokemon to get, this will run til September 26th.

With the Pokemon I Choose You! movie coming out it seems that the original cap Ash’s Pikachu is being distributed now to celebrate. The code is PIKACHU20 to land your special Pikachu. This Pikachu also comes with a special Z-crystal Pikashunium Z.

You will only get to choose on of the special Pikachu caps, so if this isn’t the one you want you best wait a bit longer.

Lengthy gameplay has appeared showing off the PAX demo for Shovel Knight: King of Cards in direct-feed. Watch 19 minutes of footage below.

Another 3DS update is now available. Nintendo has just issued the latest firmware, version 11.6.0-39.

Those expecting new functionality will be left disappointed. Nintendo says of the update: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.

These patch notes have actually been the exact same for the past two years. The last notable update was in March 2015 when Nintendo added a Home Menu Layout setting so that users could save and load up to eight layouts with different theme and software icon arrangements.
