Nintendo just released the next update for Mario Kart World with version 1.2.1. All Nintendo Switch 2 owners can download it now.
While the last update was massive, this one is on the other end of the spectrum. Nintendo is addressing a singular issue for its latest patch.

Action platformer SF3RA out on Nintendo Switch this week

Ratalaika Games is set to release its latest Nintendo Switch game in the form of SF3RA. This one will be available on Friday, August 22.
SF3RA is an action platformer. Players will destroy enemies along with their drone assistant, collect items, and buy new weapons.

June 17: Bandai Namco and Brownies uploaded the opening movie for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. This follows the game’s reveal, which only just took place this month.

Today. BancyCo announced a new Nintendo Switch version of Neo Harbor Rescue Squad. As of now there’s no word on launch timing.
Neo Harbor Rescue Squad is officially said to be a “paramedic action drama”. You’ll live the life of a rookie paramedic with “a wild, funny story.”

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance to feature Sonic’s Dr. Eggman and more in SEGA Villains DLC

SEGA has made an interesting announcement about Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, as the game is revealed to be getting Dr. Eggman DLC. Of course, the character stems from Sonic the Hedgehog.
Dr. Eggman will be featured in the SEGA Villains Stage along with two other mystery characters. It’s unclear what exactly will be included here, but the DLC is planned for early 2026. We should have more details when we’re closer to release.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree demo has just come to Nintendo Switch

A demo for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is now available. If you’re looking to try out the game before it arrives next month, you can do so on Nintendo Switch.
The demo provides access to the prologue chapter with four of the game’s eight Guardians available to play. Rekka, Shigin, Origami, and Nishikito are included. Also in the demo, you can visit the hub, Shinju Village, where friendly and memorable NPCs will provide assistance such as by strengthening swords at the Blacksmith, practicing combat skills at the Dojo, or learning more about the deep history and narrative of Towa’s world.

The next major Disney Dreamlight Valley update is almost here with “Emotional Rescue”. The patch goes live on Wednesday, August 20.
Inside Out is the big hook of the update – you’ll be able to explore the Headquarters and step into the shoes of a Mind Worker to locate the missing parts of long-term memories. There’s plenty of other content, improvements, and fixes as well.

Roadwarden is about to arrive on Nintendo Switch, and its launch is just a week out. Assemble Entertainment and Moral Anxiety Studio confirmed today that this version is planned for August 25, 2025.
Roadwarden is an illustrated text-based RPG. The game, which features isometric pixel art, has you playing as a solitary traveler tasked with exploring an untamed peninsula. RPG elements include inventory puzzles, dialogue choices, character builds, and survival mechanics.
