Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise marks the first time that Capcom is making a game for Switch with RE Engine. But based on new comments from the company, it wasn’t an easy thing to accomplish.

Yasunori Ichinose, the director for Monster Hunter Rise, said to Eurogamer that putting RE Engine on Switch “was definitely a new challenge for us.” A big part of the task was balancing the game’s large maps with no loading, graphics quality, and frame rate.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Monster Hunter Rise producer Ryozo Tsujimoto spoke more about the game’s development. The project has been a long time coming, as it’s been in the works for “about four years in total.”

Super Mario 3D All-Stars

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for September 2020.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars, perhaps unsurprisingly, came out on top. Other new games appear for the first time as well, including Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Hades, and more.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered was finally made official yesterday. After the announcement, the game immediately went up on the Switch eShop for pre-order. On the Mexican store, however, rather than pre-loading, the full title actually went live. That means a select few are already playing the game now, which is a month ahead of the actual release.

Nintendo already fixed things, but we do have a look at the Switch version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. Footage of both docked and handheld play can be found below.

IGN has published new details about Monster Hunter Rise following an interview with Capcom. The site was able to speak with Monster Hunter Rise producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose.

Ciel nosurge DX and Ar nosurge DX are coming to Switch, Koei Tecmo and Gust have revealed. Both games are scheduled for a January 28, 2021 release in Japan.

Ciel Nosurge, a simulation game, first released on the PS Vita in 2021. The RPG Ar Nosurge followed on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2014. Both titles will be appearing on a Nintendo platform for the first time.

Pumpkin Jack

The 3D platformer Pumpkin Jack has received a final release date. It’ll be available on October 23, Headup and Nicolas Meyssonnier announced today.

Gonner 2 will release for Switch on October 22, an eShop listing reveals. The game was previously only known to be launching sometime in 2020.
