Yesterday, Rare published a blog post covering all of the news related to the game developer at E3 2019. For Nintendo fans, one of the biggest announcements made was the reveal of Banjo-Kazooie for Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character.

Rare says it was working with Nintendo “since last year, on everything from movesets to musical choices”. Paul Cunningham was also specifically mentioned as “our point man on getting everything about Banjo and Kazooie’s appearance just right.” Cunningham is Rare’s lead marketing artist and has been with the company since 1995.

Here’s the full excerpt from Rare about Smash Bros.:

Enter the Gungeon

Enter the Gungeon has sold very well on Switch, according to publisher Devolver Digital. In an interview with GamesBeat, founding partner Mike Wilson told the site that the game has been “massively successful” on Switch. Specific sales data was not provided.

Aside from doing well on Switch, Enter the Gungeon has been an important IP for Devolver Digital overall. Wilson said that it’s the company’s second best-selling franchise, which was only topped by Scum.

Digital Foundry has taken a closer look at the Switch version of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Specifically, the game’s technical performance has been examined in greater detail.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is 16GB on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, the Switch version is about 6GB. How’d the team managed to shrink the game’s file size? Part of this can be attributed to slightly lower-quality pre-encoded videos. If you’re playing in handheld mode in particular, this is something you probably won’t notice easily.

Onion Games has a massive update in store for Dandy Dungeon. Once released, players will have access to an entire sequel.

Other than the name – Legend of Brave Yamada 2: The Illusory Bride – not much is known. Onion Games says the sequel is two times as large as the original game.

Those who have purchased Dandy Dungeon will be able to access the update and sequel at no extra charge.

Dispatch Games is bringing Radirgy Swag to the west, the company announced today. North America and Europe will be getting the shoot ’em up game this fall – and a physical version is confirmed.

Here’s some additional information about Radirgy Swag:

Super Mario Maker 2 appears to have a hard limit in the number of courses players can upload. Once you’ve shared 32 levels online, that’s it. It seems there is no way to increase that at this time.

In the original Super Mario Maker, 100 was the maximum. Players started at 10 and the amount increased 10 for each medal earned.
