Mantis Burn Racing might be getting a physical release in the west

Though there hasn’t been an official announcement as of yet, it’s looking like Mantis Burn Racing could be receiving a physical release in the west. The game received a new rating from the ESRB not too long ago, with PM Studios listed as publisher. PM Studios has brought out physical versions of Switch eShop titles, including Voez and Mercenaries Saga Chronicles.
Mantis Burn Racing does actually have a physical copy, but only in Asia. Flyhigh Works handled the release in that territory.
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Retailers have started to go live with their offers for Mario Day.
Over on Amazon, you can nab digital copies of a few different Mario games for $20 off. Also, if you’re not a Switch owner yet, you can get the system and one of the Mario titles for only $329.99. Best Buy has the same offer for the games here and console here.
At least as of now, it seems that GameStop isn’t running the same deals as Amazon and Best Buy. However, a bunch of Mario-related products are on sale here.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition lets you choose between High Quality / High Performance modes
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Fire Emblem Warriors is one Switch game that lets you choose between two technical modes. One favors frame rate while the other emphasizes resolution. This isn’t something we’ve seen with many Switch titles, but Darksiders Warmastered Edition is another game that makes use of similar functionality.
While playing Darksiders Warmastered Edition, you can choose between High Quality and High Performance modes. The former uses a 720p / 1080p native resolution and hovers around 25 – 30 frames per second. If you go with High Performance mode instead, the resolution will be lower but the frame rate jumps up to 50 – 60 FPS.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition launches for Switch on April 2.

Limited Run Games confirms E3 2019 press conference

Accompanying some of the other E3 news we’ve heard this week, Limited Run Games has announced that it will hold a press conference during the big expo in June.
Last year’s show treated fans to plenty of Switch news. Much of it pertained to games getting physical releases, but we also found out about Dust: An Elysian Tail making its way to the platform – which was entirely new.
Limited Run’s E3 2018 stream took place the Monday of E3 week. If that holds true again this year, the 2019 event would be live on June 10.

Mortal Kombat 11 built with a custom version of Unreal Engine 3

These days, when when you think of Unreal Engine games, Unreal Engine 4 comes to mind. However, that isn’t the case with Mortal Kombat 11.
According to NetherRealm Studios graphics programming lead Jon Greenberg, Mortal Kombat 11 is built on a custom version of Unreal Engine 3. Greenberg added that the company’s version of the tech “is radically different from Epic’s at this point.”
Switch works well with Unreal Engine 4, but it isn’t often that we seen Unreal Engine 3-developed titles on the system. Rocket League is one example of this, which required custom work to make possible.
