Timberman VS planned for May 3 on Switch

Thanks to a listing on the North American Switch eShop, Timberman VS appears to have a release date. It’s now listed for May 3 with a $1.99 price point.
Timberman VS is all about slicing trees in an arcade-style fashion. Aside from single-player offerings, you can challenge your friends locally.
Sonic Mania Plus launches on July 19 in Japan

Earlier we wrote a post about how Sonic Mania Plus is coming to Japan but without a release date yet. However, The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has just come out and Sonic Mania Plus will launch for Switch on July 19 in Japan for 4,490 yen.
As for the Americas and Europe, Sonic Mania Plus is due out “this summer” but the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account teased that a new trailer is due out later today, so a western release date may be announced soon.

Miitomo has been updated with new content. Players can nab the latest items in the Miitomo Drop stage, “Konnichiwa! Japanese Culture #2”.
Available items include:
– Hot springs kanji tee
– Hair towel
– Shampoo shelf hat
– Bubble outfit
Users can select Miitomo Drop stages from the Shop tab. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.

Splatoon 2 update out now (version 3.0.0)

The massive 3.0.0 update for Splatoon 2 is now live. As previously announced, it encompasses Rank X, new gear, new music, the addition of Callie’s appearance at Tentakeel Outpost, and more. Camp Triggerfish should also be in the map rotation once tonight’s maintenance has finished.

March 2018 NPD: Neon Switch the best-selling hardware item of the month and 2018 thus far

We have one final tidbit from this month’s NPD, and this time we have some news regarding hardware sales.
NPD analyst Mat Piscatella confirms that the Switch 32GB with neon red/blue Joy-Con is the best-selling hardware item of March in the United States. Moreover, it’s the top-performing hardware release in 2018 thus far.
The latest NPD report also had encouraging news for software sales, as it was revealed that Kirby Star Allies has the franchise’s best debut ever in the US.
