In the dedicated video game platform business, the second year is all-important. The second year is when the novelty has worn off and the hardware is truly put to the test. During this fiscal year, we will take advantage of the stage we set in the first year to further expand the installed base.

Nintendo Switch Online, a paid subscription service that will expand the online functionality of Nintendo Switch, will begin in September of this year. The service will provide consumers with a richness of online features that allow them to continuously enjoy Nintendo Switch. More information will be presented on our website in early May.

Nintendo announces E3 2018 video presentation for June 12, Treehouse Live to return

Nintendo will host its E3 2018 video presentation on June 12, the company has announced. It will kick off at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET per usual.
According to Nintendo, the presentation will cover Switch games for 2018, including Super Smash Bros.

Report: No immediate plans for Fortnite Battle Royale on Switch

Fortnite on Switch is a rumor that always seems to pop up, but especially more so this week. That’s because LeakyPandy, who leaked some information about the most recent Nintendo Direct but was also off base with many claims regarding the presentation, posted new speculation on Twitter that’s making the rounds.
LeakyPandy claims that the PvP Battle Royale game and the PvE Save the World mode will be coming to Switch, with an announcement at E3. Further stated is that cross-play will be supported and Nintendo exclusive content is planned.

The Long Dark dev hiring Unity programmer to make a Switch version happen

Hinterland Studio is trying to bring The Long Dark to Switch. The developer has posted an official job listing in which a Unity programmer will be hired to work on a port.
The Long Dark is described as “a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster.” It found quite a bit of success on Steam last year, and has been migrating to other platforms since then.

A listing for Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection has gone up on the eShop. In both North America and Europe, it can now be pre-loaded.
If you pre-load Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, you can make a purchase in advance and download the required data. Then on launch day, you’ll only need to connect online once to begin playing.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection takes up 4.9GB.
