Update 2 (1/10): At this point it’s hardly a surprise, but the person behind the video has come forward, confirming that it’s fake:

Update: A couple of red flags have been pointed out since the video first made the rounds. First, the YouTube icon pictured isn’t the latest logo. Secondly, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe seems to be shown on the console as a digital download, that would take up 6.8GB of memory – yet it only shows that 2GB is used in the video. For now we unfortunately have to lean much closer to this being fake.

Original (1/5): A new video has made its way online that claims to offer a look at Switch version 5.0.0. It shows a few significant features, including folders, the ability to create an online lounge, cloud storage, themes, and more.

Here’s the video in question:

The video does an admirable job of coming off as legitimate, but in this day and age, you can never be too certain. We’ve definitely seen realistic “leaks” in the past that ultimately turned out to be fake. In any case, we should know if this is the real deal fairly soon, as the person who uploaded the video claims the firmware launches in early February. For now, take this with a big grain of salt.

Nintendo has just released a new update for Fire Emblem Heroes. On both iOS and Android, version 2.1.0 can be downloaded.

・ Additional possibilities await in Sacred Seal Forge and Weapon Refinery.
・ A new feature to check the battle map before battle has been added.
・ New maps have been added to the Arena.
・ Bug fixes.

Gunhouse is set for release on Switch early next week as a digital download. Get a look at some gameplay footage in the video below.

We already have the results for the third global mission in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. With players having collectively won 100,000 times at the Battle Agency, it has been a success.

2,000 Festival Coins will be handed out to everyone who participates. If you register at the Pokemon Global Link by the end of the global mission, you’ll earn 4,000 Festival Coins.

Darkest Dungeon isn’t too far away from launching on Switch, complete with support for touch controls. A digital release is planned for January 18 in both North America, Red Hook Studios announced today.

The main game will cost $24.99. You can also purchase The Crimson Court and The Shieldbreaker DLC for $9.99 and $3.99 respectively. The Color of Madness DLC, which is still in development, will also be on Switch in the future.

Nintendo Switch

Listings for a ton of unknown Switch titles popped up on Amazon about two weeks ago. Shortly after they were discovered, each one was removed. All of the listings had generic names and an image stating that they were announced at a Switch event.

Now we’re seeing something similar with GameStop. This week, six new SKUs were located within the retailer’s internal system. They’re all labeled “Available SKU”. It doesn’t seem that any of these games can be pre-ordered at the moment.
