No More Robots will make Descenders “as great as possible” on Switch

No More Robots and RageSquid are taking Descenders very seriously on Switch. Speaking to Nintendo Life, No More Robots founder Mike Rose said that “the plan is to make sure the Switch version of the game is as great as possible”.
According to Rose, “Nintendo has been super supportive”, and the same goes for Switch fans. We’ll be seeing videos of Descenders running on Switch “soon” so that the community can follow along as the project develops.

Wii U maintenance taking place Thursday / Friday

The busy week of Nintendo maintenance continues. On Thursday / Friday, Wii U will be impacted specifically.
The latest maintenance schedule is as follows:
– 5:50 PM PT (August 31) – 7:30 PM PT (August 31)
– 8:50 PM ET (August 31) – 10:30 PM ET (August 31)
– 1:50 AM in the UK (September 1) – 3:30 AM in the UK (September 1)
– 2:50 AM in Europe (September 1) – 4:30 AM in Europe (September 1)
Certain network services involving online play, rankings, etc. may be impacted during the maintenance period.

EDGE ranks the top 100 greatest games (2017 edition)

Back in 2015, EDGE published a special issue of its magazine featuring what it felt was the top 100 greatest games of all time. This month, they’re back at it again with a revised list.
The 2017 edition makes a number of changes. One big addition is Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has taken Dark Souls’ spot as EDGE’s best game of all time. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time remain in the top ten, however.

Metroid: Samus Returns file size

Nintendo has started the pre-load option for Metroid: Samus Returns in Japan. Thanks to that, we now know how much size the game requires digitally.
Metroid: Samus Returns takes up 5,542 blocks, or 692MB. Those numbers may vary slightly in the west, but since pre-loading should be live in North America soon as well, we should have a final answer pretty soon.
