Daemon X Machina Prototype Missions, Yoshi’s Crafted World demo out now on the eShop

Two new Switch demos were announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, and both are out now. You can download the Daemon X Machina Prototype Missions and Yoshi’s Crafted World trial from the eShop.
Prototype Missions features four different missions that will let you try out the controls and mech customization. After playing, select players will receive an email containing a link to an online survey where they can provide feedback about the game to director Kenichiro Tsukuda and the development team.
Dragon Quest Rivals announced for Switch in Japan

Square Enix is bringing its card game Dragon Quest Rivals to Switch in Japan, the company revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct. Only a Japanese release has been confirmed at present.
Dragon Quest Rivals is out now as a digital download in Japan. We have a trailer for the game below.

Paladins’ cross-play and cross-progression update is now live

Paladins has been updated today with major functionality. Cross-play and cross-progression is now supported between Switch, Xbox One, and PC. If you’re playing on Switch, you can battle against any user from those other two platforms. Progress between all of these platforms can also be carried over.
That’s not all for today’s update, as Shattered Desert has also been added as a new map. Full details on what’s new and changed can be found here.

Space War Arena bumped back to February 28

Space War Arena is seeing a two-week delay. Originally scheduled for February 14, it has been pushed back to February 28. Pre-orders will open on February 21.
Space War Arena is a strategy action game with real-time tactical space combat. Ed Annuziata, the creator of Ecco the Dolphin, led the way on its development.

Trine 2 launches February 18 for Switch, Trine 3 “soon”, physical release at GameStop

Trine Enchanted Edition was added to the Switch eShop last November. Today, developer Frozenbyte provided an update on the next two entries in the series.
Trine 2: Complete Story is due out for Switch on February 18 at a price point of $16.99 / €16.99 / £15.29. Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will follow “soon”. And if that wasn’t enough, the entire series will be released physically as a GameStop exclusive this spring.
Smashing the Battle releasing on Switch next week

According to a listing on the Japanese eShop, Smashing the Battle is making its way to Switch next week. A release is planned for February 21.

Colt Canyon coming to Switch later this year

Publisher Headup and Retrific Game Studio have announced Colt Canyon, a 2D pixel art twin-stick shooter with roguelike elements. Players will control a cowboy / cowgirl as they attempt to save their kidnapped partner from bandits.
