Switch eShop

Colopl held a live stream today to celebrate the fourth anniversary of its popular mobile title White Cat Project. During the event, a brand new title was announced for Switch.

Here’s a trailer:

Pill Bug Interactive has dated its 2D momentum-based shooter Cycle 28 for Switch. The game will launch as a digital download on August 2.

Here’s some additional information and a trailer:

“Karaoke JOYSOUND for Nintendo Switch”, as the name implies, is a karaoke game for Nintendo’s latest system. Currently, it’s only available on the Japanese eShop. The game is free to download, but to actually sing the songs you need to buy tickets that will let you access them for a given period of time.

The game features a video variety of songs – and it just added a few more that might be of interest to Nintendo fans. Specifically, six songs from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are now available: “Drifting Soul” and “One Last You”, sung by Jen Bird, and four songs by Anúna, Ireland’s national choir: “Our Eternal Land”, “Shadow of the Lowlands”, “We Are the Chosen Ones” and “Ever Come to an End”.

Just as we mentioned a short while ago, Galak-Z: Variant S was unexpectedly added to the Switch eShop today. Have a look at some footage below.

Back in April, we discovered a PEGI rating for Guts and Glory on Switch. A listing on the North American eShop confirms that a release is happening next week.

The store page lists Guts and Glory for July 19. It’ll cost $14.99.

Galak-Z: Variant S

Galak-Z: Variant S was originally planned for June 28 on Switch. GungHo Online Entertainment missed that date, but not by much. Galak-Z: Variant S is actually out right now on the eShop.

Originally, the game was going to cost $9.99 on Switch. Something apparently changed along the way, as it’s free to download.

Last week, Devolver Digital said it has over a dozen releases planned for Switch this year. A listing on the European eShop reveals one of these mystery games to be Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition.

Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition was made by Roll7, the developer of OlliOlli. The game is described as a “2¼D cover-based indie shooter”.

When Hot Gimmick: Cosplay-Jan came to the Japanese eShop this month, the banner image used was a bit controversial. This was primarily due to the outfit and pose from one of the depicted characters.

Perhaps in response to the controversy, the main eShop image for Hot Gimmick: Cosplay-Jan has been changed. It’s not clear if Nintendo forced the picture swap, or if Zerodiv specifically requested it. Nintendo did sign off on the eShop page initially, and we’ve seen cases in which developers have changed eShop images in the past.

To compare, this was the original banner:

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Touhou Soujinengi V, a Touhou Project RPG, has been confirmed for Switch. Mediascape will be publishing the game in Japan on July 26. Pricing is set at 3,000 yen.

In Touhou Soujinengi V, a catastrophe has taken place in Gensokyo, and it’ll be your duty to resolve the situation. You’ll be taking on various enemies while traveling throughout Gensokyo with a party.

Here’s a trailer from the PS Vita version:
