Switch eShop

Much has been made about Switch menu game icons over the past few months. Many system owners have voiced their opinions about them – with some vocal players dissatisfied with the way they look. Snake Pass, LEGO Worlds, and SteamWorld Dig 2 are among the titles people have requested to be changed.

To circumvent this issue, developer Bplus Games is taking a proactive approach in asking its followers to participate in a poll to determine which icon will be used for their upcoming Puzzle Box Maker. The four options are viewable in the image above. This seems to be a sensible approach in handling some players’ strong feelings about what an icon should look like.

The Flame in the Flood couldn’t be off to a better start on Switch. Curve Digital publishing director Simon Byron mentioned on Twitter today that the game “smashed it” on the console, in which he wrote:

MCV followed up with Byron for more on The Flame in the Flood’s Switch debut. He said that the game “had its best ever day on any console since we’ve been publishing it, beating any other format we have launched on.” Byron was anticipating a certain figure in his mind, but the actual result “was a third over that.”

Crazy Justice

This year, we’ve started to hear about a few Switch games that will support cross-platform play. Rocket League and Minecraft are just a couple of titles that intend to incorporate the functionality. Cross-play allows for Switch, Xbox One, and PC users to play online together.

You can add the shooter Crazy Justice to the lineup of games that will be integrating cross-play. Black Riddle Studios shared the news on Twitter with a brief video, which we have below.

Nic Makin worked on a number of games at Rare. Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero are just a couple of projects he helped develop in the past.

Makin opened his own studio MakinGames back in 2014. He’ll soon be coming out with the 2D scrolling brawler Raging Justice, which we now know is planned for Switch.

The Switch port of Raging Justice hasn’t started just yet. He’ll first need to get access to development hardware. But regardless, bringing Raging Justice to Switch is a “priority.”

We have more information about Raging Justice below, along with a trailer.
