Switch eShop

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has a very neat physical release, though some fans might be more inclined to pick up the game physically. That especially goes for our friends in Europe where it’s not yet available. In any case, if you choose to purchase The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ from the eShop, you’ll need 610MB of free space.

The Neo Geo games from Hamster’s Arcade Archives series weren’t in the best of shape when they initially launched on Switch. Players reported issues with the sound, but even more significant were problems relating to brightness.

It didn’t take long for Hamster to address the situation thankfully. All of its Neo Geo games received patches a few days ago to remedy things. You can see just how big of an improvement was made with the video below.

Dinosaur Polo Club created its “subway layout game” Mini Metro a couple of years ago. Now it would appear that it has a chance of making its way to Switch.

Regarding a Switch edition, Dinosaur Polo Club said it’s currently under consideration. Since the port would be “a big project,” the team has “to think it through” before fully committing.

Mini Metro is somewhat of an obscure game. You can see what it’s like for yourself below.

Polygon recently streamed some gameplay from the Switch version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ through Facebook, and the video is now available to watch. You can check it out below.

Nintendo has announced today that they will be bringing 8 playable Switch indie titles to EGX Rezzed 2017 in London, which begins on March 30 and ends April 1.

The titles that Nintendo will be bringing to EGX Rezzed were published on the website for the event, and are as follows:

De Mambo was something that we found out about for Switch before the developer actually made an announcement. That changed today, with developer The Dangerous Kitchen making things official.

Even though the Nintendo release was just announced, De Mambo will be on Switch first. Doing so provides the team with “far more exposure than other platforms”.

The Dangerous Kitchen wrote in a blog post:

Nintendo approached us at Bitsummit 4 last year and after many laborious discussions about how much money we wanted to pay them to allow us to be on the (at that time) NX, they decided to not accept our fanboyish money and instead allow us entry into the Kingdom of leave-luck-to-Heaven.

The Switch is the perfect home for De Mambo, something that Nintendo themselves saw, and so we couldn’t let this once in a lifetime opportunity slip away— who else has their first game available in the launch period of a new console!? But, there is one caveat to all this. We are focusing on the Switch version first, before the other versions.

The original Ittle Dew graced the Wii U eShop a few years ago. As we learned during the Nindies Showcase last month, the sequel is coming to Switch in the near future.

Ludosity shared a release window for the Switch eShop release on Twitter earlier today. There’s no specific date yet, but it should be available this summer. Ludosity also ruled out bringing the first Ittle Dew to Switch.

Today, Sumo Digital issued the second developer diary for Snake Pass. The video explores technical features used in the game such as character movements, grass and lighting.

Thanks to IGN, we have a new look at The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on Switch with a few minutes of multiplayer footage. Check out the video below.

Update: A new blog post from Tomorrow Corporation indicates that all of its games will be heading to Europe next week. Also, there could be a physical box in the future:

“We are looking into a physical version, but it’s a lot trickier than the digital world we’re all living in now. If we do find a way to make a physical version, it will not be for a while. In the meantime, you are welcome to download the games to your Switch, and then put your Switch in a box. Is a physical version something you want? Let us know!”

Original: Tomorrow Corporation is bringing three games to the North American Switch eShop today. World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine should all be out in just a bit. But what about Europe?

Over on the European Switch eShop, Little Inferno is listed for March 23. Presumably the other two games will be launching on the same day as well. Each one will cost £8.99.
