Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot datamine points to Daima DLC

Based on a new datamine for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, new DLC based on Dragon Ball Daima appears to be planned.
Josou_Kit shared the findings on social media. Clear references to “Daima” were spotted within the game’s code. Bandai Namco will apparently be adding in something that roughly translates to Skyseed Platform, but what that means exactly is unclear.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending July 6, 2024 is now available.
After appearing in the top slot last week, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD falls just slightly to #3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe never wants to leave and remains at #5. As for the top seller this week, that honor goes to EA Sports FC 24.

Today, we’re going over the locations for all of the Treacherous Mansion Gems in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. If you missed our previous guide covering the Secret Mine gem locations, you can catch up via that link before you continue.
The Treacherous Mansion is the final mansion in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and its gems look like diamonds. These are certainly the trickiest gems in the game, and several of them require extensive backtracking and rather difficult puzzles. We’ve also listed the missions that each gem is available in.

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of May 2024 specifically on Switch.
As we already reported, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was #2 across all platforms – that means it’s #1 just on Nintendo’s console. Princess Peach: Showtime is still somewhat new and is at #3.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of May 2024.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door made its debut and came out swinging. During its first month, the Switch exclusive landed at #2 – and that’s without digital data factored in. We don’t have exact data, but that positioning indicates a strong start.

WayForward, the studio behind Shantae, just announced that it’s bringing back the GBA game Sigma Star Saga. It launches in 2025.
Sigma Star Saga is making its return after twenty years. WayForward isn’t confirming Switch support just yet, but given the studio’s output, that’s practically a lock.
Sigma Star Saga is a sci-fi adventure title featuring 2D space shooter and RPG elements. The re-release is being built with Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine.

Okami director says the dev team was “weak”, sales were “huge failure”

In a recent video, Okami director Hideki Kamiya and environment artist Ikumi Nakamura. The two spoke about various topics, including the team behind the game and the initial poor sales.
According to Kamiya, Okami was intended to feature “a dream team” of developers. However, he actually believes that the group was ultimately “weak”, before adding how there “was a very drastic contrast within.”

The second big update for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island was just made available, and it’s highlighted by new playable character Tatsumi Shiren.
That’s not all to the update. Also included are more dungeon floors for deeper exploration, a “Basic Training” mode, and more.

Nintendo Switch Sports getting basketball as new sport

June 18: Nintendo isn’t finished with Nintendo Switch Sports, and just revealed basketball is coming to the game. It will be available as a free update this summer.
Players can use motion controls to sink as many baskets as they can within the time limit in the solo Three-Point Challenge. Also available, four players can compete locally in Five-Streak Battle or Three-Point Contest, and you can dribble, pass and score in two-on-two matches locally or online.
