We’re official in July, which means that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has lots of new fish and bugs available to catch. Polygon has put together a comprehensive chart outlining all of the additions, including when they can be found.

UK: Switch sales more than doubled in the first half of 2020 compared to first half of 2019

Based on the first six month of sales in 2020, Switch sales have more than doubled in the UK. Sales in the region are seeing the increase when compared to the first six months of last year.
Switch sales started to rise around the coronavirus pandemic in early March, before peaking in May. More stock also started to be made available in the UK in May, which also boosted sales.
VGC adds that gaming sales were still strong in June, especially when compared to the same month in 2019.

Dead Cells sells over three million copies, new update coming soon to Switch

Dead Cells has surpassed three million copies sold, Motion Twin and Evil Empire have announced. The milestone accounts for sales since launch across all platforms.
In other news, a new update is coming soon to Switch. It’s already out on PC, but it should be hitting Nintendo’s console “in the coming weeks.”

Street Power Soccer due out in August

SFL Interactive and Maximum Games have set a final release date for Street Power Soccer. It will launch on August 25 in both Nroth America and Europe, the two sides confirmed today. Digital pre-orders open on July 13.

RPG Maker MV finally releasing for Switch in the west this September

The wait for RPG Maker MV on Switch in the west is almost over. Today, NIS America announced that the game-creation tool will arrive in North America on September 8, Europe on September 11, and Oceania on September 18.

Fairy Tail – Unison Raid trailer

Koei Tecmo and Gust have shared a short “Unison Raid” trailer for the Fairy Tail RPG. The powerful magic attacks, specially designed by series creator Hiro Mashima, chain together some of the most spectacular spells the guild has to offer.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons exceeds 5 million physical sales in Japan

According to a report by Famitsu, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold over 5 million physical copies in Japan. This number does not include digital sales, which Nintendo has previously reported are higher. This puts Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Japan’s top 10 best selling games of all time. This milestone has been reached in under 4 months since the game’s release on March 20.
Pokemon Cafe Mix – Scorbunny Special Customer event

The first Special Customer event has arrived in Pokemon Cafe Mix. From now until July 15th, Scorbunny can appear in the cafĂ© as a customer. If you complete orders for it, you’ll be able to recruit it to be a staff member. If you start building friendship before the event ends, you’ll be able to invite it to a Party to still be able to recruit it.
