Another Code Recollection developer

Arc System Works developed Another Code: Recollection, the company has confirmed. That information was posted on social media.

Many fans have been wondering who exactly is responsible for Another Code: Recollection. After all, Cing – the studio behind both titles – shuttered many years ago. Now we have the answer. This was first hinted at with the demo that was recently made available, but now official confirmation has been provided.


Xenoblade 3 Chronicles 3 update 2.2.0

Nintendo and Monolith Soft just started distribution of a new version 2.2.0 update for Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

As you may remember, Noah and Mio amiibo release this week. The game has now added in functionality for both figures.

El Shaddai Switch physical

Limited Run Games today unveiled details about plans for the physical version of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster on Switch in the west.

In addition to a standard copy, a Deluxe Edition will be available. The Deluxe Edition includes a soundtrack, poster and Nephilim enamel pin.

Switch successor GDC survey

The GDC 2024 State of the Game Industry report was published today ahead of next month’s event, and it brings along a little bit of Switch successor news.

Over 3,000 game developers were asked about their work and the industry for the report. With one question, we get to hear about which platform(s) they’re developing their current project for. 8 percent said that their game is for Switch’s successor. 18 percent said they’re working with Switch. Note that multiple options are allowed to be checked.

Eastward will be made available as Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial in Europe, it’s been announced.

The game can be accessed with a subscription starting today. Like other trials, you do not need a subscription to the Expansion Pack tier. Also, all progress can transfer to the full version.

New Circana data reveals the best-selling Switch games of 2023 in the United States.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder were Nintendo’s biggest releases of the year, so it’s no surprise that they land at #1 and #2 respectively. Hogwarts Legacy and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope are the only titles published by third-party at #5 and #15 respectively. Hogwarts Legacy was actually 2023’s best-selling game in the U.S. market overall (all platforms) in dollar sales, which is the first time since 2008 that a non-Call of Duty or Rockstar developed title ranked first.

Tying in with the launch of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Ubisoft has readied a day one version 1.0.1 update.

The update includes some balancing, an improved guided Mode experience, refreshed audio mix, and UI polish. Of course, there are bug fixes as well.
