Splatoon 3 update 4.1.0

Nintendo has announced another big update for Splatoon 3, with the game expected to move up to version 4.1.0. Per usual, we have the patch notes as well.

Once again, many adjustments are planned for weapons, sub weapons, and special weapons. Another slew of bug fixes are coming as well.

Note that players can look forward to the next update at the end of the current season, with Nintendo largely focusing on more weapon balance adjustments and adding features for the new season beginning in September.

Super Zangyura physical

Red Art Games announced today that it’s preparing a physical release for Super Zangyura on Switch.

A standard version and Deluxe Edition are planned, but both will cost the same amount. The latter includes a wraparound box sleeve as well as a double-sided poster and a holographic keychain.

Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel

VGC is reporting that Ubisoft has cancelled plans for a sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising. The site’s report is based on what it heard from “multiple development sources”.

Rumors of a potential sequel have popped up in the past. VGC says that Ubisoft Quebec did some early work on a new entry, “but company leadership ultimately decided to cancel it earlier this month due to perceived challenges around establishing the IP.”

DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue

Publisher GameMill Entertainment and Petit Fabrik today announced DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue. Switch will be getting the game later in 2023.

DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue is a 3D platformer featuring fan-favorite characters to play as along with a fully customizable Troll, rhythm-based mini-games, and more. Further details can be found in the following overview:

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending July 23, 2023 has been released, and it includes initial data for Pikmin 4.

Nintendo’s latest Switch exclusive came in at #1. Compared to Pikmin 3 Deluxe, launch week sales are up 45 percent. However, boxed sales were a bit lower than what Fire Emblem Engage managed.

Trine 5 release date Pontius the Knight

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy just got a final release date, and we also have a new trailer showcasing Pontius the Knight.

THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte have confirmed that the game is heading to Switch on August 31, 2023. This follows the original announcement in April which promised a summer launch.


Infinity Strash Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai Disciples of Avan

Square Enix shared new details on Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai today, covering Dai himself plus Popp, Maam, and Hyunckel. There are also a few bits of information available for the battle system.

Edia has just announced yet another package of classic games making their way to Switch, this time in the form of Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection III. This new collection follows in the footsteps of Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection and Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection II, which were made available on Switch some time ago.

Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection III will contain five different games in the Valis series. These consist of the PC-8801 and Famicom versions of The Fantasm Soldier Valis, the MSX2 version of Valis the Fantasm Soldier (the original game’s western counterpart), the Mega Drive version of Valis III, and the Super Famicom version of Super Valis IV.
