Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons launch trailer

Modus Games and Secret Base are celebrating the debut of Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons with a new launch trailer. It showcases the game’s entire playable cast, its unique tagging system, roguelite elements, and special moves that you’ll take advantage of throughout your journey to save New York City.

Disgaea 7 features

NIS America has shared yet another Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, this time introducing new features for the strategy RPG.

One of the new features is Jumbification that lets players grow fighters to massive proportions and dominate the battlefield. Hell Mode is also included. Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless additionally has 45 character classes plus Item Reincarnation, Online Ranked Battles, and revamped Demonic Intelligence.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is in development and will launch on Switch, publisher GameMill Entertainment has revealed along with developers Ludosity and Fair Play Labs (via IGN). A release is planned for 2023.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 retains the essence of the original while expanding on content. There’ll be more characters (Jimmy Neutron is being hyped up so far), more stages, and more modes, a new campaign, cross-play support for all platforms, voice acting for every playable character, new mini-games, improved graphics, and more.

The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Original: A release date has just been announced for Rear Sekai, an upcoming action RPG by Story of Seasons producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto – plus we have the opening movie below. Publisher Bushiroad and developer Hakama have confirmed that the game will release in Japan on October 12, 2023.

This news comes via the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine, which also revealed some additional details on the game. Players will experience both a fantasy world and more realistic one, the two of which will be linked. They’ll also be able to roam through dungeons, battle huge bosses, explore with various actions, and find treasure chests to obtain better gear. The game will also feature a “Build System”, which allows them to build interactions and battle styles with partner characters called Alliances.

Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation - Quest of Memories

Original: Today, Bushiroad announced that it will be publishing Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Quest of Memories on Switch. Other than confirming Lancarse as the developer, a release window and further details were not shared.

Mushoku Tensei started out as a light visual novel series in 2012. It has also seen official manga and anime adaptations.

Ys X: Nordics is back with a new wave of details, this time covering Momina, Romes, Joel, Ashley, Urval, Rune Stones, fishing, and Sandras upgrades. New screenshots are available as well.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet continue to roll out distributions, and now players can get their hands on a Shiny Grimmsnarl for a limited time. This was used by Chaiyawat Traiwichcha, who used that creature to win the Thailand National Championships last year.

Grimmsnarl comes with the moves Thunder Wave, Spirit Break, Reflect and Light Screen. It will also be the ability Prankster and has the Light Clay item. Additionally, it will be at level 50.

Zelda Oracle of Ages Seasons Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online just added a pair of Zelda classics to its service, as Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons have dropped. Both are immediately available now via the official Game Boy app.

Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were previously announced for Nintendo Switch Online back in February. However, a release date wasn’t provided at the time.

Sonic Mania 2

With the success of the original game, some were surprised by the fact that we never ended up seeing Sonic Mania 2. It turns out there was actually some initial interest on SEGA’s part, but things ultimately weren’t meant to be.

Classic Sonic is now going in a new direction with the previously-revealed Sonic Superstars. Arzest is taking the lead with Naoto Ohshima (who worked on the series’ original games) on board for the project, but the Sonic Mania team isn’t involved.
