Kirby Switch controller PowerA

PowerA is planning a new Switch controller design for Kirby, and you’ll be able to pick it up very soon. This is different from the other colorful design we posted about last year.

The wireless controller is similar to the company’s other offerings, but this is a pretty unique design. It includes two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons that you can program at any time, precision tuned analog sticks, a full size d-pad, a LED indicator for player number, button mapping, and low battery warning, plus more. However, it does not support HD Rumble, the IR camera, motion controls, or amiibo NFC.

As the name implies, Pickleball: Smash is a sports title and the game will even support motion controls on Switch. For further details, check out the following overview:

Disney Illusion Island review

System: Switch
Release date: July 28, 2023
Developer: Dlala Studios
Publisher: Disney Electronic Content

Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy may be some of the most recognizable characters of all time, but it’s been a hot minute since they featured in a noteworthy game of their own – something true of many Disney franchises since the shuttering of Disney Interactive in 2016. As such, Disney Illusion Island is something of an experiment; an attempt to craft a modern, original Mickey Mouse story in a new world with new characters, with the structure of a Metroidvania (or “Mickeyvania,” as the developers have put it). While a lack of meaningful surprises can cause the experience to drag and feel overly simple, the game’s charming humor and silky-smooth platforming result in a fun and amusing adventure.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Fast & Furious

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged has announced a new collaboration that will see Fast & Furious entering the racer.

At launch, players will be able to drive the unstoppable Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. This was driven by Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise. Additional vehicles from the series will be added post-launch as paid downloadable content.

Broforce Forever update

Broforce originally debuted in 2015, but next month, it’ll be getting a huge “Broforce Forever” update. It will be available on August 8, 2023.

The update provides “an improved and expanded campaign with new unlocks, along with six new ultra-patriotic bros, four new democracy-spreading challenge levels, and the ultimate expression of military might – bug fixes.”

Here’s a rundown on everything that’s new:

Orbital Bullet physical

Super Rare Games is working on a physical release for Orbital Bullet on Switch, the company announced today.

3,000 copies will be made in total. Each unit includes the game on a physical cartridge, a full-color manual, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

The title promises an engaging storyline, strategic turn-based combat, Wanzer customization, modernized battle scenes, free camera options, modern in-game effects, a renewed soundtrack, and nine languages localization.

Super Smash Bros. future Masahiro Sakurai

Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has shared his thoughts in the future of the series, including his involvement.
