About an hour ago, Nintendo released the “I Choose You!” Event Course in Super Mario Maker. By completing it three times, you’ll unlock costumes for Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Watch a full playthrough of the Event Course below.

And here’s a closer look at the new costumes:

Super Mario Maker has just added three more significant costumes. Players can get their hands on Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

Here’s a look at each one in action:

You can nab the Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle by completing the new “I Choose You!” Event Course. However, it needs to be completing three times to unlock each one.

Here’s an overview of the stage:

“This course is based on the beginning of any Pokemon trainer’s journey – from choosing your first partner in Professor Oak’s lab through reaching the first Gym. Clear the course to unlock a costume of whichever Pokemon you choose! Unlike the original games, it shouldn’t be too hard to clear it multiple times and catch ’em all!”

Update: This same event is confirmed for Europe and Japan as well. For the Japanese version, it’ll be Red vs. Green.

Splatoon’s eleventh Splatfest will be taking place in North America next week. Arguably, it’s one of the more interesting topics. Players can choose between either Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue.

This Splatfest will be going live on February 19 at 10 PM PT / February 20 at 1 AM ET. It’ll last for a full day, with the results following soon after.

More footage from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD has hit the net. Take a look at an hour of gameplay below.

Activision’s 2015 full-year financial results are in. Revenue is reported at $4.6 billion, an increase from $4.4 billion in calendar 2014 with 47.5 percent of that amount stemming from subscriptions, licensing, and other revenue. Operating income is also up from $1.1 billion to $1.3 billion and net income grew from $835 million to $892 million. However, Activision fell a tad short of its revenue target.

Guitar Hero Live and Skylanders SuperChargers both fell short of Activision’s expectations. With Skylanders, there is now increased competition in the market with LEGO Dimensions. More declines are expected for Skylanders in 2016, but another game is in the pipeline. As for Guitar Hero Live, its weakness is attributed to a move to mobile devices.

Wii U owners in North America can now view Pokken Tournament’s eShop page. Some interesting details are included in the listing.

First, in terms of controllers, Nintendo says that the following options are supported:

– Wii U Pro Controller
– Wii Remote + Classic Controller Pro
– Wii Remote
– Wii Remote + Nunchuck
– Wii U GamePad

Regarding online play, players can expect the following:

– Online multiplayer
– Leaderboards

Of course, local multiplayer is included as well.

I’m usually hesitant to post about file sizes from the eShop given previous inaccuracies, but the listing says Pokken Tournament requires 4234.4MB for the download. If nothing else, it’ll take up a few gigabytes.

Head past the break for the game overview. You’ll also find some screenshots below.
