Another couple of screenshots have come in for Splatoon. This time around, we get to hear about “Octo Valley”. View both of the images below.

This is ‘Octo Valley’ – the starting point for Hero Mode.
Cap’n Cuttlefish lives here watching over the Octarians.
He’s not lonely, though. Heroes are destined to live a life of solitude.
He tells you that he hasn’t seen his grandchild recently…without you even needing to ask.

The Octarians live under the ground in Octo Valley.
Connecting their headquarters to the surface is this kettle-shaped transportation device.
Undoubtedly, the Octarians have set a trap and now lay in wait.
No time for carelessness! Ah, if only I was a little bit younger!

At one point, Pipeworks Software was planning an original board game style IP for Wii U. The project ended up being cancelled for unspecified reasons. Pipeworks is said to have been making Wii U games through 2012 and 2013.

The company did end up with a couple of titles on Wii U. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy were originally published by THQ, and are now owned by Nordic Games.

Headstrong Games, the developer behind the Art Academy and Battalion Wars titles, may have an unannounced Wii U game in the works. Former programmer Callum Brighting lists the project on his LinkedIn profile, which is apparently not the Wii U version of Art Academy. It’s unclear if it’s still in the works, or was cancelled.

Several characters models from an unannounced Disney Interactive game have appeared online, via the online profile of 3D artist Cari Mayle. The game is coming to the Wii U, but it’s unknown if other platforms will be receiving it as well. We know that the project is a fantasy game of some sort… and not much else!
