Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Sidon’s English voice actor confirmed
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U | 17 Comments
The English voice actor for Sidon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was somewhat of a mystery. It was originally thought that the character was voiced by Bill Rogers, but it turns out it was a different person entirely.
Interestingly enough, the confirmation of Sidon’s actual voice actor comes from Sean Chiplock. Chiplock played the roles of Revali, Teba, and the Great Deku Tree in Breath of the Wild.

Miis in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe aren’t quite as expressive as they were on Wii U
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U | 56 Comments
With more players getting their hands on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now that the racer has officially released, people are beginning to notice more changes made from the original Wii U version. We aren’t talking about anything substantial, but there are some interesting things here and there.
One of these changes concerns Mii. Most players are in agreement that they just aren’t as expressive as they were originally on Wii U. As players on Reddit and USGamer point out, Miis don’t really emote anymore.
Below are a few comparisons:
Again, we’re not talking about something truly substantial here. This is something that some players may not even notice. It’s an interesting change though, and one that could either be intentional or not.

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment won’t be ready on Wii U and 3DS until May in Europe
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 0 comments
In North America, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is available on your platform of choice. The game can be bought and played on Switch, Wii U, or 3DS.
In Europe, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is taking a bit longer than expected on Wii U and 3DS. Yacht Club Games now says it’s planned for May.
The studio wrote on its website:
“Despite our best effort and brightest optimism, we have found a few unexpected issues which are holding up different versions at the final submission step. We’re doing everything we can to have these resolved as soon as possible, but since this last step involves other teams, we are not able to provide an exact release date. We really can hear back on almost any day. We’re sorry for this delay, but hope to have you playing the latest version soon!”

Nintendo conducted a bit of Super Mario Maker maintenance tonight. That was likely done to pave way for a new update which is out now on both Wii U and 3DS.
On Wii U, Super Mario Maker is at version 1.46. The 3DS version now stands at 1.03. In both cases, Nintendo says: “A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.”
Kimishima: Zelda: Breath of the Wild sales buoyed by entirely new players who heard about strong reception
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U | 40 Comments
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was purchased by a ton of series fans. However, the game’s success can also be attributed to entirely new players.
The Wall Street Journal writer Takashi Mochizuki passed along a comment made by Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima. In a brief statement, he said that entirely new players who hadn’t experienced Zelda before gave Breath of the Wild a shot after hearing about its strong reception.
Nintendo CEO: strong Zelda sales supported by longtime fans but also people who never played but heard latest is great. I'm one of them too.
