Wii U

Along with today’s screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message on Miiverse:

Dedenne’s hard at work too.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is one of many third-party titles not planned for Wii U. GameSpot asked Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner about why we won’t be seeing it on Nintendo’s console, and was offered a concise and honest answer.

He said:

“In all honesty, all the Wii U games I’ve ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]. And this just doesn’t fit.”

Murdered: Soul Suspect will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in June.

Nearly a year ago, Darksiders II was pulled from the European eShop. Today, however, system owners can purchase and download the title once again.

Nordic Games business and product development director Reinhard Pollic tells Polygon that the company was unsure why it was originally taken down, and wants “to make Darksiders available to as much people as possible.”

He said:

Nintendo has released new images of three tracks from Mario Kart 8: Sweet Sweet Canyon, Mario Circuit, and Thwomp Ruins. You can find them above.

Wondering if Waluigi would follow Little Mac in making the jump from assist trophy to playable character in the latest Smash Bros.? Well he isn’t, but he’s still in the game along with his trusty tennis racket. Series director Masahiro Sakurai delivered this sick burn on Miiverse:

Once again, Waluigi’s Assist Trophy joins the collection!! …Which also means he’s not a playable character. Just because you try hard doesn’t mean you’ll make it into the battle.

Peter Molyneux isn’t ruling out Godus for Wii U, going so far as to say that it’s a “possibility”. However, this would only happen “if you tweak that very clumsy device,” he told Develop. Molyneux also mentioned to the site that he feels that “Wii U very awkward.”

Here’s Molyneux’s full statement about Wii U:

I think the Wii U, if you tweak that very clumsy device, is a possibility but I find Wii U very awkward.
