Wii U

Retro Studios president and CEO Michael Kelbaugh commented on several topics while speaking with GameSpot, including the Wii U’s technical capabilities.

According to Kelbaugh, the console is “a powerhouse”, adding, “It’s more than adequate to make great games on.”

“Unfortunately, the perception is that it’s not a very powerful machine. That’s just not true. It’s a powerhouse. It’s more than adequate to make great games on.”

Kelbaugh also mentioned that the Wii U is a “great box to make games on.”

Along with today’s screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message on Miiverse:

Dedenne’s hard at work too.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is one of many third-party titles not planned for Wii U. GameSpot asked Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner about why we won’t be seeing it on Nintendo’s console, and was offered a concise and honest answer.

He said:

“In all honesty, all the Wii U games I’ve ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]. And this just doesn’t fit.”

Murdered: Soul Suspect will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in June.

He said:
